This journey took me to a new planet of chill music called “ATD”. The air vibrates and the sounds are soothing, not pumping. I decided to bring back to Earth CDs of the music. Despite the perception of CDs as outdated technology, I wanted to preserve this unique experience. To protect my music from those who might sabotage it, I created “CD Shields” using acrylic paint and pumice, which gives it a almost concrete like feel. This project started out as something I needed for myself. After long hours in the studio or djing.I needed some calmness and recharge. Hence, “After the Dance”. I have been longing for something to listen to that gives me a sense of refreshment from the sensory overload that comes with the profession. I needed a way to recenter, pause, reconnect and check in with myself (phone home). " After The Dance" makes me feel better, transcends mere excitement by going beyond the fist pump. It is my direct way of phoning home and a personal sonic reprieve. Over time, these textured sounds became my go to painting music or aiding me to just simply decompress. Each song has its own environment in which it lives and breathes. Imagine these 8 selections as diverse modes of chill with the defining factor being the mood rather than the genre. With a nudge of volume in either direction these moods can stay in the background or come forward; it's totally up to you, the listener. I am thrilled to finally be able to share another facet of my world of music with you: After The Dance Phone Home
