Bong Joon-ho

Bong Joon-ho (Hangul: 봉준호, Korean pronunciation: [poːŋ tɕuːnho → poːŋdʑunɦo]; born September 14, 1969) is a South Korean movie director and screenwriter. He became internationally known for his second feature movie Memories of Murder (2003), The Host (2006) and Snowpiercer (2013).[1] His 2019 movie, Parasite, earned him an Academy Award for Best Director in 2020. He was born in Daegu, South Korea.
