1.
Birds 04:52
Don't you blame the birds for stealing the watch from your purse Tearing the nest off the branch will not give you back good old time Don’t you blame the herd for blood left on side of the road When you'll get lost into the wild remember you were once a child A bed of dried thistles waits for you, my son
2.
Wind 05:55
Wind restrains me Advices to go home Listen carefully Those roads belongs to fucked ones On a sideway on your own It's a sad way to go, heading for your fall Dusk releases shapes that were ones dormant Ear whisperings Brave girls don't last long It's a good place to grow bones You're treading lands of old dogs It's a bad place to grow old You'll learn to walk on sounds of distant groans It's a bad place to grow old You'll learn to walk on sounds of distant groans
3.
Hollow 05:14
My cheeks look paler than yours cause it's flowing a little thicker in my veins I choose not to hear the ring bells then I can stay a little longer in my bed Under my white veil I’m carrying an old shovel In my hollow I just don’t feel completely safe I’d better wallow in fields of peaches than in a den My ghost complexion will still stand for a thousand years My eye glows harder than yours cause it's burning a little harder in my heart I look down just to spare you the pain of feeling a little weaker in the end Under my white veil I’m carrying an old shovel In my hollow I just don’t feel completely safe I’d better wallow in fields of peaches than in a den My ghost complexion will still stand for a thousand years
4.
February 04:51
Silent, don’t you wanna be quiet Silent, don’t you wanna be quiet Silent, silent, don’t you wanna be Silent, don’t you wanna be quiet Silent, don’t you wanna be quiet Silent, silent, don’t you wanna be Silent Silent Silent
5.
Burning Sun 05:00
When wind blows on your window, whispering you to go astray Keep your hands on your ears Thin lines dance through your shutters Dust shapes golden transparent being Close your eyes, grope your way Close your eyes, cross yourself Take my dress, my shoes. I’ll lay down in burning sand My slough will stand, in the burning sun When wind behind your raincoat will push you till you drift away Hold steady, on your feet Light looks far on the shallow Salt shapes silver transparent being Close your eyes, grope your way Close your eyes, cross yourself Take my dress, my shoes. I’ll lay down in burning sand My slough will stand, in the burning sun
6.
Rain 06:36
Who will be caught up by the rain ? The Child ? The King ? The Old Man Who will be caught up by the rain ? You've dropped your guard, dropped your cards catch up Who will be caught up by the rain ? The Dog ? The Fool ? The Old Maid Who will be caught up by the rain ? You've dropped your guard, dropped your cards Cold drops start to fall, run away, catch up now One feet in front of the other One feet in front of the other One feet in front of the other...
7.
Thirst 03:39
You’re looking inside Your finest glass Your wine looks darker It’s turning sour Remember what mom said «keep you blade close to your heart» Whispers whispers Pitch dark pitch dark Girl it’s over Get your breath back Grab the first hand you will find on your path Remember what mom said «keep you blade close to your heart» Drink till last drop
8.
Thin Ice 04:44
At the pace of your steps Eels are dancing underneath Calling for frozen kisses Which will leave you painted red Hear the smothered echos of an erratic drum It’s nothing but the sound of your exhausted heart In the depths of the lake Eager devils are stumbling They dance in a circle in which you are willkommen Keep the kiss for your lover Keep your breath for your songs Keep the waltz for your spouse Keep your eyes on the edge

explosion.

/////////

Hailing from Bordeaux’s nasty basement venues, Suif is the entity conceived by Camille Dalby to bring to life the collection of songs
she had carried around with her over the years – composed at different times in her life, some dating back to her teenage years.
Having sheltered quite a few of them from light for long years, she would go back over them, letting them evolve like a polaroid whose tint mutates with each new exposure, before adding new nuances. She
eventually obtained an intimate and very personal herbarium,
which she kept as a diary, in semi-secrecy.
One day, the time had come to bring these pieces to life, to pull them out of the dark while preserving their somber light.
After recruiting Maxime, a seasoned guitarist devoted to the arts of rock music (Kubota, ex-Watertank), alongside Étienne and Guillaume, two ex-Lonely Walk (Born Bad records, Permafrost records), what had already become a band began its maturation process in the shade of the pandemic quarantines, eventually giving body and distortion to
these elegant reveries.
Recorded by the band’s members in a one-off studio, A run on thin ice unfurls a platter ranging from silence to heavy pounding, from subtle punctuation to oozing drone, from the delicacy of arrangements evoking the heyday of slowcore, to the massive backwash of doom-infused riffs.
Suif shape their own piece of reality through charcoal sketch motions, reveal their abrasive beauty by candlelight, while navigating with equal ease between fragility, strength, tremors and burst.
