Directed by Sukumar, the film has been an unstoppable force at the box office since its release. After an explosive opening with Rs 164.25 crore gross, followed by a record-breaking weekend, the film saw numbers take a dip on Monday. According to Sacnilk, the numbers fell further on Tuesday, but that didn't seem to dampen the film's phenomenal run at the BO.

On day 6, 'Pushpa 2' collected an estimated Rs 52.50 crore net across all languages in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. In the Hindi-speaking markets, the film garnered Rs 38 crore on Tuesday, matching the predicted Rs 35-39 crore collection. Tuesday's collection helped push the film's total Hindi net collection to over the Rs 370 crore mark. This achievement dethrones Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan' which earned an estimated Rs 351 crore net, and went on to become the
highest first-week grosser in Hindi cinema. With an extended first-week projection of Rs 420 crore net, Pushpa 2 is poised to set yet another milestone.

The film also maintained strong performances in regional markets. The Telugu states contributed approximately Rs 10-11 crore gross on Day 6, while Karnataka added Rs 4 crore gross, and Tamil Nadu and Kerala combined for Rs 3.5 crore gross. Overall, Tuesday’s gross collection is estimated to be Rs 60-65 crore.
The movie is proving to be a colossal hit, with a surprising standout performance from its Hindi version, which is doing just as well as the Telugu version. In fact, after its massive opening weekend and the initial 4-day run, the movie has outperformed in Mumbai compared to the Andhra and Nizam regions.
As reported by Box Office India, the film earned Rs 14.45 crore net in Mumbai, while the Andhra/Nizam region grossed around Rs 12.84 crore. This achievement is remarkable for a Telugu film on a Monday, and Pushpa 2 has managed to exceed expectations, leaving audiences stunned. While the film hasn't performed as strongly as anticipated in Telugu, its Hindi performance has surpassed expectations. The distributors were hoping for higher numbers in Telugu, but the film’s figures are currently in line with those of RRR.

Domestically, the film's six-day gross stands at Rs 770 crore, making it the highest for any Indian film. Globally, 'Pushpa 2' was chasing the Rs 950 crore mark. However, according to a post shared on the film's official social media handle, the film has reportedly crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark, solidifying its place in history as the fastest film to achieve this feat - in just 6 days.

The film's official handle retweeted a post that read, "1000 crores world wide gross accomplished by #Pushpa2 in just 6 days! Another all time record!!"
The monumental success of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' has set a new benchmark for Indian cinema.
With the film's box office collection now past the Rs 1000 crore mark, it joins the list of only 8 other Indian films to cross the milestone. Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' occupies the top spot with a total collection of Rs 2000 crore at the world wide box office. It is followed by Prabhas' 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion', Jr NTR and Ram Charan's 'RRR', Actor's Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 2', Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' and Shah Rukh Khan's back-to-back blockbusters 'Jawan' and 'Pathaan'.
Besides marking Allu Arjun's first Rs 1000 crore film, this is also actress Rashmika Mandanna's first Rs 1000 crore project as a lead actress.
The film which was released on December 5, is racing on the box-office with the downforce of fan adulation and the legacy built by the film’s predecessor ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ which was released in December 2021. It picks up from where 'Pushpa: The Rise' ended. It sees Telugu superstar Allu Arjun reprising his titular role.
While 'Pushpa 2' had premiere shows on 4th December, there weren’t any in Hindi. So business for Hindi began on 5th December, and till 9th December, the movie collected Rs 285.7 crore. It breaks the record of Yash’s KGF 2 which till now, held the record for highest collection in Hindi for week 1, with Rs 268 crore, and Baahubali 2 being in the second spot with Rs 247 crore. It has also beaten the lifetime Hindi collection of Ram Charan and NTR Jr’s RRR ( Rs 272 crore) in 4 days, and by the end of week 1, it will break Kalki 2898 AD’s record ( Rs 293 crore) as well.
The film's success comes at a time when the Indian film industry has been struggling to get back on track owing to months of lockdown and slowing down of the economy following the devastating second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
