Gaurav Khanna on the possibility of Anuj returning to Anupamaa, says 'It is possible to return...'

Before taking a 15-year hiatus, Anupamaa starred Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the major role. However, following the leap, Gaurav's character Anuj's adventure concluded in the show. Now, in a recent roundtable discussion at Directors Kut Productions with other male performers, Gaurav voiced his desire to return to Anupamaa as Anuj, but only if the show's producer, Rajan Shahi, agrees. When questioned about their favourite characters from their careers, Rohit Purohit, Jay Soni, Mohsin Khan, Shaheer Sheikh, and Dheeraj Dhoopar revealed their favourites and stated why they have a particular place in their hearts.
Gaurav Khanna responded to this question by explaining that his favourite characters are the ones he plays. He emphasised how his previous performances helped him land future jobs, and he stated that all of his characters were his favourites when he played them.
Gaurav said, "When I play the character, at that time, that character is my favourite character. When I was doing Anuj, Anuj was my favourite character. It is possible to return as Anuj if sir calls me, and then I will do it again." He further quipped, "If he is not listening, then I'm repeating it again if sir calls me." Gaurav shared how his favourite character keeps changing with what he is playing currently.
Anupamaa mentioned that he used to do three shows at once over two separate channels. The actor confessed that he sleeps in his car and rushes to different production sites every day.
Gaurav also stated that now that the rules have changed, it is easier, but back then, his health was worsening, and the pay cheques motivated him. Gaurav explained how he worked hard to prove a point to himself while already working in the sector.
