Selamat (congratulations) Indonesia! 🇮🇩 Together with our partners, we've just announced Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Tangguh UCC (Ubadari, CCUS, Compression) project. Tangguh is the largest #NaturalGas producer in the country and this investment will unlock around 3 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of additional gas. This project will see us bring enhanced gas recovery through carbon capture, utilization, and storage (#CCUS) to our existing Tangguh LNG facility. Aiming to be the first CCUS project developed at scale in Indonesia, our plan is to boost gas recovery by sequestering around 15 million tonnes of CO2 from Tangguh’s emissions in its initial phase and potentially more considering the large CO2 storage capacity of the area. ✅ A key example of how we are in action – investing in a high-value growth project to meet the region’s rising #Energy demand.
