Everything Lily Collins & Ashley Park Love About Paris
Released on 09/12/2024
Hi everyone. She's Ashley Park.
And she's Lily Collins.
And here are some of the things that we love
about Paris. About Paris.
[bright cheerful music]
[Lily] Paris is a great food city.
And here are some famous foods they're known for.
The croissant. [graphic dings]
It's really the go-to in Paris.
It really is. And I feel like they have the perfect...
Well, let me just tear this one apart
just to see. Listen to it. Listen to it.
Listen to it. [croissant crunching]
It's a little stale. [Lily laughs]
I could hear some crunches.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Some.
I could definitely hear some crunches.
I'm always the kind of person who likes
to take out the center of the croissant.
Do you put jam in it?
Hmm. Do you?
Yeah, I used to put, like, some jam or like honey
[Ashley gasps] so that there's, like,
a little bit of filling in there.
Which is pretty baller.
But also with this,
dipping it in, like, a hot beverage is really nice.
Wait, what?
Yeah, like- All these ways
to eat a croissant?
I just grab it then go. If you, like,
take a little bit of it and you dip it in, like, coffee,
it kinda, like, soaks it up a little bit.
Ooh. And then there's, like,
that hard, like, texture [Ashley chuckles]
to the croissants, like, then get soft.
And these are macaroons, [graphic dings]
which are also-
Is it macaron?
Macaron? Or macaroon?
There's a real, like, skill to making macaroons.
[Ashley chuckles] 'Cause we did a class,
season one- And we know.
And we, like, made them.
They, I have to say, did not look that pretty though.
No, but I think we tried to make it...
Didn't we like put little designs on it
to try to hide the fact- We did.
that they weren't really there.
I do- These are really big.
And the fun thing about macarons is they're gluten-free.
What?
[sniffs] They are! No?
Right?
Yeah. Yeah! They're gluten-free.
I did not know that they were gluten-free.
Well, this is great.
We made, like, pistachio, rose, chocolate, vanilla.
We love the rose flavor. It was one
of our first bonding experiences, I think, in the show.
And honestly, we took them to set the next day
and no one believed us that we made them.
I know. But we had proof, we had pictures.
We do have pictures. What was the...
Airbnb experiences, we did a lot of those season one.
We did actually. Yeah. [Ashley laughs]
And this is a French 75, which is a famous French drink.
[Ashley sniffing]
And the ingredients are gin?
Gin.
Simple syrup. Simple syrup.
Lemon. Lemon.
[laughs] And champaign. Paign!
She knows, I don't. [Ashley laughs]
But I'm pretending like I do.
Honestly, these actually do have-
Ooh, it has, like,
the lemon pulp in it. Alcohol in it.
This feels very- This smells like this-
A little- will be a fun time if we...
Oh. [lips smacking]
Oh my gosh!
We're gonna have fun.
We're so Parisian.
I'm just kidding. [laughs] [Lily laughs]
Okay. Onto the next thing.
There are a lot of cool things to see in Paris.
And we are gonna talk about some of our favorites.
[pointer sticks clicking]
So here, as you can see, [pointer stick taps]
we have a lovely map of the city.
This is the Seine running right down the-
Nice, nice.
Yeah. See, that I knew.
Here is Luxembourg Gardens. [graphic pops]
Love walking our dog right in here.
It's a beautiful area of town.
Actually, Emily's apartment
is right there. [graphic pops]
Wait. The apartment
is right there.
By the Pantheon. Yeah. Really?
That's where you're from?
You and I, we walked a lot around
the Tuileries and stuff. [Lily giggles]
What? It's just funny
[laughs] to think it's right there. I know. I know.
The Tuileries.
The Tuileries- [pointer stick taps]
[Ashley laughs] She loves the Tuileries.
Yeah, and also, where is it?
We like to walk around-
The museum. outside a lot.
Oh, Orsay? The Louvre right there.
No. Well, yeah.
The d'Orsay but the Louvre right here
is where we've taken many funny photos just, like,
wandering around.
It's true. Well, we love being...
Like, the Marais. Like, Canal Saint-Martin.
There's a lot
of good shopping- Canal Saint-Martin-
right in here. is amazing.
Parc des Buttes-Chaumont? [graphic pops]
[Ashley] What'd you call me?
[laughs] Parc des- [laughs] [Ashley laughs]
Le Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. That is the most stunning park.
It's the most beautiful view of the city.
Love that. Except also Sacre-Coeur,
[graphic pops] which is also so amazing.
Which...
Why could I not find it?
[Lily laughs] We are not-
Also, the Picasso Museum [Ashley laughs]
[gasps] is amazing. We love...
Yes, yes, yes.
That's very cool. There's a lot of cool, like,
pop-up museums and galleries and stuff in the Marais area.
Yeah. Let's not sleep on the old Eiffel Tower.
Let's not sleep on her. Let's not sleep on that.
She would not be thrilled. [graphic pops]
[Lily] You can kind of see her from all over the city,
which is, you know. Yeah, it's great.
And moving right along.
[Ashley] Parisians have a lot of their own lingo
that you should know, and here are some of them.
Bouffer means to eat? Eat?
Is that where buffet comes from?
Is it [speaking French]? Oh, maybe it is.
Bouffer? Bouffer?
[Lily laughs]
Well, we're gonna go bouffer later. [groans]
Yeah, so, to eat. I didn't know that.
Like it's just un mec. A guy.
A guy. A dude.
Yeah. Yeah. A fellow.
Un bordel is like a mess, chaos.
[Lily] Un bordel.
Hmm. Yeah, there's a lot of mess
or chaos in this show, I would say.
Maybe be like les bordels.
Yeah, because it's like
a lot of mess. A lot. Mm-hmm.
Chouette. Chouette is like cool, neat.
She chouette. Un mec chouette.
[laughs] The guy is, like, cool.
[Ashley chuckles]
[Lily sighs]
He's gonna bouffer later.
These are some Paris landmarks.
If we like it, we're gonna tell you why we like it.
And if- And if we don't like it,
then we're gonna hit this.
Bloop. [hand clacks]
[paper rustling]
Oh, it's the Eiffel Tower.
I mean, for sure.
[Ashley] Obviously.
[Lily] I will say going to the top is, like, pretty cool.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The view is amazing.
I don't think I've been to the top
'cause you filmed up there to the restaurant on top?
[Lily] Yeah, it's a sight to see.
I've been in, like, the middle part
and it's a fun way to get up there.
But also the park in front of it's really nice
to, like, have a picnic at, and you're like-
[Lily] That's a definite go-to.
Yeah. Yeah.
Next one. [paper rustles]
[Ashley gasps] Ooh.
Notre-Dame.
I mean, it's so beautiful [graphic pops]
at night, but yes, of course you have to go to see that.
Totally. And it's in the...
Isn't it the Ile?
Oh yeah. In the middle. In the middle of the Seine,
which is beautiful. It's so beautiful.
I would suggest not to do if you go there
is don't go scooter with your friend there,
'cause we filmed a scene there scooter-ing.
And I fell.
It was a... [hand clicks]
Oh, I just wanted to hit it.
[button buzzes] [Ashley laughs]
Don't do that. Yeah. But definitely go to that.
But definitely go to that. Yeah.
[paper rustles]
[gasps] Arc de Triomphe! Oh.
Arc de Triomphe. I'm gonna say yes.
Yes, we lived near there [graphic pops]
last season.
Yeah. Loved it. You gotta go to see that.
Especially if there's bikers like that.
[laughs] I've never seen the bikers there.
[paper rustles]
Ooh, the pyramid- Oh!
at the Louvre! Yes.
[Lily] I mean, you can't miss that!
And it's so nice.
This especially is nice to walk around at night.
At night? Yeah.
I mean, it does get a little crowded,
but I would still wait in line.
Yeah. [paper rustles]
Ooh! Moulin Rouge! Moulin Rouge!
I actually haven't been, [graphic pops]
but I've been to Crazy Horse many, many times.
It's like the best burlesque club.
But I would definitely go. I wanna go.
I haven't been either, so we should probably go next-
So we're not gonna beep it,
but we're not gonna- We're not gonna beep it
but we should probably go.
[Ashley] Yeah, we filmed outside of it actually.
[Lily] Oh yeah, we did.
[paper rustles]
[Ashley] Ooh, that's-
[Lily] Oh, I'm forgetting the name of it,
but it's the very- I can't see it.
famous cemetery. [graphic pops]
What? Pere-Lachaise.
It's a cemetery. [button buzzes]
No, no, no, no!
Oh, I'm not-
It's very cool. It's beautiful.
In terms of cemeteries, it's a stunning-
Are you talking about- We filmed there.
the cave stuff with the skulls?
No. Absolutely not!
Lily, I'm not going there.
Absolutely you should visit. Don't listen to Ashley Park.
Fun fact, we actually really liked all of these places
and pretty much suggest that you go to all of them.
So yeah. In conclusion, just visit Paris. [laughs]
Visit Paris and make sure you have plenty of days
to see everything.
Well, she's still Ashley Park.
And she's still Lily Collins.
We hope you guys enjoyed all of our places in Paris
and get to visit them soon.
