'The family is back': Nicki Minaj and Drake reunite after TWO years to call a truce following her split with Meek Mill

She and Drake were once close pals who frequently collaborated together.

But the 30-year-old Hotline Bling singer's long-running feud with Meek Mill impacted his relationship with the rapper's girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, for two years.

However, once the Super Bass songstress, 34, dumped the Ima Boss performer, Nicki and Drake reunited to call a truce.

Young Money record label sources told TMZ that Drake saw a segment on ESPN just days after Nicki and Meek split on January 5 which featured the songstress and Lil Wayne.

The One Dance hit-maker called the label's president, Mack Maine and asked: 'Why didn't you tell me the family is back?'

A reunion was set up and Drake headed to Miami on January 12 to sit down with Nicki and Young Money's founder Lil Wayne.

That day a photo was taken of the trio, and one of Nicki and Drake that she shared with her 72.9 million followers on Wednesday. 

Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show last April, Drake revealed: 'I don't really talk to Nicki. Another person I have a lot of love for.'  

However, while they were not as close as they once were, there appeared to be no animosity between them.  

Drizzy continued: 'She dealt with me how I would expect her to - with class. I always have respect and love for her. Unfortunately, we haven't spoke.'

The feud between Drake and Meek began in July 2015, after the latter called out his former pal for not tweeting in support of his latest release. 

Meek accused Drake of not writing his own material and claimed that his knowledge of this was the reason the Grammy winner didn't post about the album.

The online tirade led Drake to release the first of a series of diss tracks about his rap rival just days later.

Lyrics in his track Back to Back poked fun at Meek for living in the shadow of Nicki's success, with the Canadian rapping: 'Is that a world tour or your girl's tour?' in reference to Meek's support slot on Nicki's tour.

Previously, Drake and Nicki had collaborated on several tracks together including Make Me Proud, Moment 4 Life, Champion, Only, Up All Night and Truffle Butter.

Nicki - whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj - dumped Meek after an 'explosive fight' during her birthday getaway in Turks & Caicos in December.

'She went nuts on him because he was hanging out with friends and not paying attention to her,' a source told TMZ.

After the birthday girl lashed out on her beau for the lack of attention, Meek reportedly left the island without the Super Bass singer and that's when she ended the relationship.
