As a food and mental health blogger, Camryn explores how food and cooking can help improve mental health and also be an avenue to connect with one's culture and heritage.During her undergraduate career at Messiah University, Camryn studied English and Public Humanities, as well as Digital Marketing. She was a senior fellow for three years with the university's Center for Public Humanities. In that role, she was privileged to connect with the diverse community of Harrisburg through projects focusing on racial justice and historical movements. Additionally, Camryn made a conscious effort to expand her passion for food and social justice through coursework in food insecurity, psychology and nutrition.In 2020, Camryn received the Girl Scout Gold Award for her mental health blog, Not All in My Head. The award led to a televised interview with PHL17, and several other news outlets. More recently, Camryn rebranded her blog to Taste of Mindfulness.Camryn has worked in communications roles with several nonprofit organizations based in Brooklyn, New York, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
