Did you know that organizations using internal developer platforms see an 8% increase in individual productivity but also an 8% decrease in software delivery throughput? Join us for a presentation on the 2024 DORA Report findings around Platform Engineering, presented by Ben Good on Thursday, November 21st 12:00 EST / 17:00 UTC. After the presentation, we'll have a community discussion to share experiences and insights. Our deep dive into the 2024 DORA Report's focus on AI adoption has uncovered some great insights and is reinforcing some opinions along the way. One of those stronger opinions is that 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬; 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤. The 2024 #DORAReport shows the remarkable improvement in potential productivity virtually across the board: 75% of respondents reported positive productivity gains from AI, with over one-third experiencing moderate to extreme improvements. These numbers reflect the potential of AI in software development, but also indicate that adopting AI isn’t just about plugging in new tools. With 10% of the respondents sharing they experienced extreme improvement and 10% reporting a negative impact, we can assume there are vast differences in how individuals are using AI as part of their day-to-day work. With that in mind, it's clear that to unlock this potential and bring productivity improvements to more individuals, we will also need to rethink and relearn how we work. These productivity gains are only sustainable if teams adapt to new AI-driven workflows that will almost certainly look different from traditional processes. Rather than simply adding AI to your existing individual workflow, this means creating new habits, redefining roles, and placing emphasis on continuous learning for the entire organization. AI adoption isn’t just about improving individual productivity - it’s a call to rethink our enterprise workflows to drive consistent, continuous improvement, and establish more effective ways of working with AI for everyone. We believe that effective use of AI is just one of many ways enterprises will improve efficiency going forward and would love to talk more about it. How is your organization scaling AI adoption? Are you learning from those who are using AI successfully to drive wider productivity improvements for others? Are you building enablement teams or AI communities of practice to create common processes or patterns? #AI #DORAReport #FutureOfWork #Productivity #TechLeadership #ContinuousImprovement #EnterpriseTechnology ----------------------------------------- Liatrio (https://www.liatrio.com) is a proud sponsor of the 2024 DORA Report Download your copy here ➡ https://lnkd.in/dqiky6Cv

Currently Curious About: how platforms and developer tooling can unlock more efficient team structures
I'm really proud to be somewhere (Liatrio) that understands software development is both a team sport and a community effort. To that end, it's great to see us not only sponsor the DORA report this year, but give back to the community with an #opensource plug-in for Backstage to surface an organization's DORA metrics. Link to the repo below and this year's DORA report below 👇 Liatrio's DORA Backstage Plug-in (also available via the Backstage Plug-in Catalog): https://lnkd.in/ev42XmM2 The 2024 DORA report: https://lnkd.in/ehuXy_Gc

Bringing the #DORA metrics into an internal developer portal like #Backstage is the best place for getting delivery metrics in front of the individuals who can actually use them. Great work team Liatrio!
This is awesome! 🔥 Our R&D team recently released and open-sourced our DORA Metrics Backstage Plugin. It’s now available in the Backstage from Spotify Plugin directory -> https://lnkd.in/dqHWctqF. 👏 At Liatrio, we believe the #DORA Core Model (https://dora.dev/research/), which contains the already well-known “four key metrics”, is an excellent guide to improving software delivery performance. Tracking these metrics specifically has proven to be a great way for software delivery organizations to see how they are performing today and chart a path to improving at a team-by-team and service-by-service basis. Ok that's great! But why did we build a #Backstage plugin? Glad you asked! Recently, many of the technology organizations we’ve worked with have been looking for better ways to track these metrics and make them visible to the teams who are impacted the most. Since our team has been working closely with Backstage as a centralized developer portal for some time, we thought it would be a great opportunity to create a unified view of each teams’ software delivery performance within the platform itself. Having these metrics handy allows the team to make more informed decisions, leading to faster and more reliable software delivery. While it’s not an exhaustive list of metrics, tracking change lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, and failed deployment recovery time, gives clear insights into your development process. And by making these metrics available closer to development teams, they can set their own path to improving them. We’re always looking for ways to engage the community and we think there’s no better way than #OpenSource. So please give the plugin a try and let us know what you think! Reach out here on LinkedIn or on #GitHub if you have any questions or feedback! ----------- Liatrio DORA Metrics Plugin on GitHub: (for more detail and issues/contributing) ✅ https://lnkd.in/g4wAeAtX Don't forget to checkout the 2024 DORA Report: ✅ https://lnkd.in/dqiky6Cv Backstage Plugin Directory: (filter by category Observability to find it quickly) ✅ https://lnkd.in/dqHWctqF #DORAMetrics #Observability #SoftwareDelivery #DeveloperProductivity #DeveloperExperience #DeveloperPortal
