Founder at RevGenius | audience-led growth

I don't hear enough about brands building raving fans anymore. Clay is one of the best today at building organic, authentic movements. Here's their playbook: 1. Creators Program, which is effectively a UGC engine is the goal. So thier goal is to empower people that are thought leaders in the outbound and inbound sales automation space to create better content. So they built a ton of tools and infrastructure to make that process easier for them, kind of allowing them to grow alongside Clay. 2. Experts Program, which their goal is to create the premier marketplace for agencies and freelancers also in the sales automation space. So kind of a very high bar for people that really, really know how to build these motions at companies. And then people that are other businesses that are trying to incorporate these practices know to come to them to kind of find the best. 3. Templates Infrastructure. So effectively building a way for people to quickly find workflows that have been built by others and reproduce them for their specific use case. And you can go to clay (dot) com templates to kind of learn what I mean more there. And it makes a lot of sense in the context of their product. Interviewed Tommy from Clay a few months ago. Since, Obaid has been adding even more audience-led growth content creation fuel to Clay's fire. They are just getting started, and building absolutely raving fans are at the core of their strategy and a big part of their moat. Full interview and more are on Audience Haus. What are some other creative ways you've seen brands turn their users into their evangelists?

AI-powered junkie / Clay & Automation Expert / Cold email strategist / Marketing & Growth Advisor / Headhunter

In case you haven’t heard, Clay now has 100+ integrations! 🎉 This means you can literally do anything you want with data – and supercharge it with AI and automation. ⚡ For those asking, “What is Clay?!” I often call it the “Photoshop of data” – think Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel on steroids. 🛠️ In the spirit of the holidays 🎄, celebration 🥳, and a bit of friendly competition 🎯, here’s my attempt! Judged and moderated by my wife 👩⚖️ and our family elf, Twinkle. 🧝♂️ Got 30! As Peter Kang said, it’s harder than you’d think! Where are my fellow Clay Experts and Creators?! Now it’s YOUR TURN! 🚀

Excited to keep growing together in the new year! (Wish I could tag all 100 of y'all) ~~~ How many could you name? Check out our full list in comments to see the ones we missed! #100ClayIntegrations

Common questions about GTM Engineering answered: 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘎𝘛𝘔 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘱𝘴? To this I would have to say no. Traditional "revops" is concerned with things like reporting, quote to cash, CRM admin, quota calculation etc. GTM Engineering doesn't cover any of these, in my opinion. GTME is more about designing workflows and automations for the sales team at the top of the funnel. 𝘐𝘴 𝘎𝘛𝘔 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 Clay 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴? No. GTM Engineering is platform agnostic although the majority of self-described GTME's spend many hours a week inside of Clay enriching datasets and creating workflows. I think there's a lot of people that would identify with the label that spend time primarily in Make.com and coding workflows for sales teams in other platforms. 𝘐𝘴 𝘎𝘛𝘔𝘌 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘖𝘍𝘜 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺? For the most part yes, but this will change as the role and technology evolves. Today I'm concerned with many platforms and mediums. Reddit. LinkedIn, Salesforce etc. I'm kind of all over the place. At the stage Cyft is at, that's just the reality. As time goes I can see the GTME role here evolving into other directions: • retargeting non-converted cold calls with ads and email • creating and auto-personalizing sales decks for M/BOFU activity for AE's. • we're already working on evergreen contact data enrichment on a quarterly basis from Clay to Salesforce. This could include automatically finding other stakeholders when an opp is created or retargeting dead opps on an automated basis. 𝘋𝘰 𝘎𝘔𝘛𝘌'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦? I mean... I use the phone. haha. I'm actually looking forward to the day that I have a growth marketing or GTME counterpart at Cyft so that I can be more of an SDR again. One day! I think GTME can help SDR teams prioritize their time better, if they are supporting SDRs. Give them better ammo contact data wise, help them analyze signals and triggers etc. I would love to create a workflow that just delivered a list that read "here's the 10 MSPs you should call today for reasons X/Y/Z" 𝘋𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘎𝘛𝘔𝘌 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘛𝘈𝘔𝘴? No. I actually think one of the biggest use cases for the skillset is taking a company that has stalled growth and expanding their TAM through use of better prospecting tools/methods. Lets say you have a company that thinks they only have a TAM of 10k companies, but using tools like PandaMatch 🐼 or Serper in conjunction with Clay you find 3k more good fit accounts you can prospect into. That's a huge uplift for some orgs. 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘎𝘛𝘔𝘌𝘴 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘣? I don't think so, I think they can create efficiency where there wasn't any, but I really think of it more the AI order taker at Wendys. That's a job that no human should be doing anyway. Any other questions I missed? Post your questions about GTME below!

Here’s how I’m working on becoming Clay’s #1 pool player. 1. Play A LOT of pool (sorry Jess Bergson). 2. Trash talk Matthew Quan. 3. Bribe the #1 player to lose with free PR reviews (👀 Colin Parsons) 4. Complain to Bruno Radice that his super cool ELO rating automation built on top of Clay was broken (it wasn’t). 5. Ask Peter Kang to repost from the Clay account so more people can celebrate my victory lap when this all inevitably works. Happy Friday!

Clay did something unconventional to build its early community. CEO and co-founder Kareem Amin explains why Clay ditched traditional support flows like chat and email and instead ushered all new customers into a single Slack channel — which has since grown to over 4,600 members. Clay Wizard @ Growth Engine X | Building Hyper-Personalized and Predictable Outbound Systems At Scale

Most people think Clay.com is just for cold emailing. They’re wrong. Clay is a goldmine for building creative go-to-market (GTM) strategies that set you apart. Here’s how top operators and founders are using it right now: 1️⃣ 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 Track LinkedIn activity to engage meaningfully with prospects when they’re most active. 2️⃣ 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 Connect with conference attendees before the event even starts. Show up with warm connections already in place. 3️⃣ 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Build campaigns that create mutual value for strategic partners. Partnerships aren’t just about alignment, but rather about timing. 4️⃣ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 Pull real-time insights from competitor activity and trends. Be where your competitors aren’t. 5️⃣ 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Identify at-risk accounts early and implement proactive retention strategies. Growth is good, but churn kills momentum. The most valuable tools don’t solve problems. They allow you to be strategic, creative, and most importantly, effective. What strategies do you have in mind for Clay? #clay #sales #marketing #salesautomation
