The Spokane County Sheriff's Office unveiled its Peregrine-powered real-time crime center (RTCC) earlier this month. Commission Chair Mary Kuney told The Spokesman-Review that the county's RTCC would allow for "real-time data analysis, improved situational awareness for our deputies, and faster response times for our residents." Peregrine visited New York City earlier this week for an intimate fireside chat featuring acclaimed author Richard Esposito and our CEO Nick Noone. The conversation revolved around Esposito's new book, "Jimmy Breslin: The Man Who Told the Truth," exploring how Breslin might have responded to today's political landscape and the personal lessons Breslin imparted to Esposito. We also discussed long-form writing, the evolving voices of journalism, and how social media platforms have changed the ways people consume information. The Glendale Police Department launched its real-time intelligence center (RTIC) last week, using Peregrine as its data integration platform. ABC7 Los Angeles quoted Glendale Mayor Elen Asatryan as saying the new RTIC is "about responding to emergencies more efficiently, solving investigations more effectively, and creating a safer environment."
