Nearly two months post-IACP, we're already implementing our top lessons learned at the Boston conference and gearing up for next year's event in Denver. We anticipate an even bigger focus on: 💻 Data: Innovative police tech doesn't stop at decked-out cars, flashy equipment, and robot dogs. Data-driven policing requires the right software. 🤖 Artificial intelligence: As law enforcement evolves to incorporate AI for more efficient policing, the industry is facing new opportunities — and questions. We're excited to continue discussions about the possibilities and ethics of AI in public safety. 🌐 Interoperability: As agencies grow their data stacks, tech providers are under mounting pressure to support data democratization and platform interoperability. 🕸️ Information sharing: Interagency collaboration calls for seamless data sharing with granular access controls to protect civil liberties. We're deep in these topics behind the scenes at Peregrine; watch this space for more insights and education. And until next year's IACP, here's a look at our unforgettable 2024 experience. #IACP #IACP2024 #publicsafety #lawenforcement #lawenforcementtech International Association of Chiefs of Police

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office unveiled its Peregrine-powered real-time crime center (RTCC) earlier this month. Commission Chair Mary Kuney told The Spokesman-Review that the county's RTCC would allow for "real-time data analysis, improved situational awareness for our deputies, and faster response times for our residents." Learn more about how the new RTCC is serving Spokane County at the link below. 👇 https://hubs.li/Q02_jj930

At #IACP2024, Peregrine partnered with the Future Policing Institute to host a roundtable discussion on data democratization and the importance of interoperability in law enforcement. Our latest blog post dives into that conversation, exploring: ➡️ The growing prevalence and long-term consequences of vendor lock-in in public safety ➡️ How to spot a vendor that markets itself as open and interoperable but may not follow through in practice ➡️ Key indicators of interoperable vendors, including must-ask questions for prospective data partners Click the link below to learn why it's so critical for public safety agencies to invest in interoperable tech solutions. Thanks to John McMahon, Christian Quinn, Edward Medrano, and Michael Gulinello for contributing their perspectives to this story. Peregrine visited New York City earlier this week for an intimate fireside chat featuring acclaimed author Richard Esposito and our CEO Nick Noone. The conversation revolved around Esposito's new book, "Jimmy Breslin: The Man Who Told the Truth," exploring how Breslin might have responded to today's political landscape and the personal lessons Breslin imparted to Esposito. We also discussed long-form writing, the evolving voices of journalism, and how social media platforms have changed the ways people consume information. Thanks to Esposito, Richard and our attendees for such an insightful and enriching evening!

Our very own Tim Shriver Jr. and Aaron Nichol attended the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics International Conference last week alongside inspiring athletes and officers from around the world. We're proud of our team and honored to support this event and the Special Olympics' cause. #LETRforSO
Deeply grateful to the athletes of Special Olympics and the officers of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics for welcoming me, my teammate Aaron Nichol, and Peregrine back to this year’s international conference. I continue to stand in awe of the mutual support and commitment between the athletes and officers that has grown the movement acrosss the world, raised more than a billion dollars, and transformed the lives of athletes and officers alike. I’m also grateful to the command staff from around San Antonio that joined us for the command breakfast to learn more about LETR and how they can support. LETR depends on command staff coming to understand and share the transformative impact of this work on both their community and their department. Special thanks to Lt Renfro of Dallas Police Department for bringing us all together. Finally a shoutout to the SoCal LETR crew who definitely won the contest competition. I’m already looking forward to Minnesota 2025! #LETRforSO
