About us
Sense is making the energy transition accessible for everyone. Our mission is to reduce global carbon emissions by transforming the relationship between people, homes and the electric grid. To do this, we empower people and utilities with the knowledge and solutions required to shape a brighter, cleaner future. We partner with meter manufacturers to offer utilities software that helps them meet their electrification goals by making the grid more scalable and resilient. Our consumer app makes homes smarter, empowering people to make better use of their energy, lower electricity bills, and reduce their carbon footprint.

Sense is delighted to be collaborating with Georgia Power Company on a pilot to enhance vegetation management. This initiative focuses on identifying and geolocating object-on-wire faults, critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of the distribution system. Wesley Granade, AMI/MDM manager for Georgia Power, commented: “Sense technology has been used in many markets to help homeowners better understand their energy usage and find ways to save on energy costs, but we see a bigger opportunity to leverage disaggregated data on an enterprise basis to gain a clearer picture of grid conditions, early detection of vegetation issues and improved regulatory compliance.” This is just one of the many exciting applications of #edgecomputing made possible by #nextgeneration metering technology.
