The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Hydraulic Instrumentation Facility at The University of Alabama has won the grand prize in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Iowa 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards – Buildings and Systems Category. 🏆 Stanley Consultants provided the architectural and engineering services for this exceptional facility, which plays a critical role in protecting our nation’s water resources. This facility is an essential part of the USGS’s water monitoring network, featuring advanced hydrology labs, environmental chambers, training spaces and more. It’s one of only three such facilities in the world, delivering real-time data to support decision-making for water safety and resource management.
