Improved ramp time for new reps by 40% Some CROs see the value and still want to wait for the “right time” (ie. after SKO, after year end) Other CROs like Brent Thurrell see the value and move fast knowing now is the only time. Sales Managers: Don't expect your AEs to cold call if you don't know how to. This kills me. Every week, I meet with leaders asking their reps to make cold calls. But they straight-up suck at cold calling. No prospect would ever take a meeting with them. THIS DOESN'T WORK. This is a culture of hypocrisy. Asking reps to do what you're unwilling or able to do yourself. If your team is struggling to build pipeline right now, get back to the basics. → Do our managers know how to outbound? → Do our managers know what good outbound looks and sounds like? → Do our managers do outbound with their reps? → Do our managers set weekly outbound goals with their reps? → Do our managers reverse-engineer the sales math behind every rep's sales goal? → Do our managers provide weekly outbound coaching to their reps? → Do you, the senior leader, talk to your managers about outbound? → Do you, the senior leader, talk about outbound in your all-hands calls? → Do you, the senior leader, give public shouts to reps doing well at outbound? This isn't rocket science. Don't expect your team to do what your front-line leaders cannot. It's time to get back to the basics. Get in the pit. And show your reps how it's done. And if you can't, you need to learn how. And quick. #sales

SDR Leaders: “I statements” are killing your reps! Are your SDRs inadvertently making conversations about themselves? It's time to shift the focus. 🚫 "I think it would be a good idea for you to speak with one of my AEs..." 🚫 "I would love to show you our platform..." These "I" statements put your company and SDR first. They scream, "This is how I get paid!" Let's flip the script. The Golden Rule of SDR Conversations: -It's never about the SDR. -It's never about your company. -It's always about the prospect and their pain points. Action Steps for SDR Leaders: -Stomp out "I" statements during role-plays -Train SDRs to disconnect from the outcome (h/t Josh Braun ) -Emphasize: Not every prospect is a fit, and that's OK Remember, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Coach your SDRs to focus on understanding the prospect's needs first. If there's no fit, move on gracefully. By making this shift, your SDRs will build better relationships, have more meaningful conversations, and ultimately, drive better results. But I could be wrong 😑

There are two mentalities when running a qualification call: 🌊The 'Inch Deep, Mile Wide' strategy covers multiple areas with different questions, gathering surface-level information that gives the AE plenty of threads to pull on. 🎯The 'Inch Wide, Mile Deep' approach focuses on one key area, uncovering a core pain point. It provides less total information, but it exposes the nerve that drives urgency for the prospect. While SDRs think AEs might value having more angles to explore, it's the prospect who will be more excited for the next call if you've shown them the real pain. 🔥 🌟Ask follow up questions🌟 So, are you casting a wide net 🐟 or setting the hook? 🎣 Which strategy are you using?? #sdr #bdr
