I wanted to seek the advice of my friends, colleagues and peers regarding AWS EKS. it seems that the default settings are to build it with the API public to the internet. This feels like a very bad Idea to me, but on the plus side, it means my helm charts are very easily deployed by git hub runners. So my question, what do people do regarding EKS API access, and if people keep it private only, how do they then connect from services outside of AWS like GitHub actions? Thanks in advance... ** UPDATE ** Just to close the loop on this, and many thanks for all of your thoughts and suggestions. I've implemented a hosted Github runner inside our VPC which is running perfectly. Thanks :-)

Most of the encoding/packaging software supports video encryption using DRM. Typically, vendors support a key acquisition/delivery protocol, such as AWS SPEKE or Widevine Common Encryption, to connect to any Key Service and acquire a key which is then used for encryption. Google, with its Live Stream API, went a path of the least resistance. They also support content encryption, but they assume the user will acquire the key and store it in a GCP Secret Manager in a specific JSON format. Then a channel configuration can refer to the specific secret, and during streaming Live Stream will encrypt the stream. Thus, the streaming operator should care for the key acquisition, transformation to the expected format, storing in the Secret manager, granting permissions, configuring the channel, and ensuring the security of the key in transit. Everything is possible but requires some diligent work.
