Data nerd alert. This is in interesting Pew Research Center article by Risa Gelles-Watnick about what she's calling a "digital divide" when it comes to age, income, and education and digital usage. Own smartphone: - Annual household income $100,00 = 98% - Annual household income less than $30,000 = 79% Smartphone-dependent (own smartphone but don't have broadband): - 15% of US adults - Ages 18-29 = 20% - Ages 65+ = 16% - Lower-income households are particularly likely to rely on their smartphone to go online. 28% of Americans in households earning less than $30,000 per year Who's online constantly? - 52% of adults with annual household income of $100,000+ - Four-in-ten or fewer with annual household income of less than $100,000 #digitalmarketing #marketing

Great partnership campaigns (👇) happen when two iconic brands, the American Red Cross and Peanuts Worldwide LLC, partner for a good cause and talented people (Darren Irby Meghan Gargan Julia Odell Courtney Junkin) bring it to life. We are grateful to play a small role in helping the Red Cross achieve its critical mission to maintain the nation’s blood supply. Thank you CreatorIQ for showcasing how the Red Cross "Be Cool, Give Blood" campaign partnered with creators to activate and amplify the PEANUTS partnership. Here are a few notable reasons why this campaign was successful. This campaign is the quintessential example of Activate’s strategy of combining PURPOSE + PEOPLE to drive exceptional PERFORMANCE. The PURPOSE:  The campaign appealed to donors in two ways. 1) The campaign appealed to people’s altruism, as donating blood saves lives and empowers people to live their best lives. 2) By donating blood, donors were gifted both the gift of helping others AND a one-of-a-kind bespoke Red Cross PEANUTS t-shirt. The Red Cross and PEANUTS collaborated on the design of the t-shirt, which featured the iconic Snoopy leaning on the Red Cross. Snoopy only ever leans on his doghouse, so this one-of-a-kind shirt was truly unique and epitomized JOE COOL! The PEOPLE:  PEANUTS Creators When we strategize on identifying relevant creators for campaigns, we think about making sure they are authentic to the campaign's purpose, while also ideally being a part of a larger community. If you partner with creators who are part of a community, you both reach their followers and can activate a community as a whole.  The PEANUTS brand has a genuinely passionate community who love and discuss all things PEANUTS. As such, partnering with creators who were fans of PEANUTS enabled the campaign to efficiently create awareness and excitement for the campaign across the PEANUTS community. The fervor and excitement within the PEANUTS community spilled over to more casual fans of PEANUTS to create broader awareness of this unique campaign. The PERFORMANCE The creator budget was incredibly efficient and generated exceptional results, including driving significant numbers of first time donors! ➕ 13.7M impressions ➕ 4.3M reach ➕ 2M engagements ➕ $1.1M EMV MORE “COOL” CAMPAIGN FUN FACTS Social Ad Amplification.  The social media ads utilizing PEANUTS creators performed exceptionally well in converting appointments. We see creators’ ads consistently outperform (5X+) agency created social ads and this was no exception. User Generated Content Took Off.  Since there was PURPOSE at the root of the campaign, donors wanted to share their altruism and COOL t-shirt online leading to hundreds of UGC posts and millions of organic impressions.  The Red Cross and PEANUTS helped encourage UGC with compelling picture-worthy campaign signage at donation sites and marketing a common hashtag. Remember "Be Cool, Give Blood." 🆎 🅰 🅱 🅾
