Mikhail philosophy is that to launch new products successfully, customers must love your existing ones because if current customers don't love a company's products, they won't adopt or recommend any new products being launched. Will the bet on reskilling work? Ukraine is already experiencing a shortage of workforce, which the full-scale war and the resulting migration will exacerbate. One solution that could stabilize the situation is the retraining of various socio-demographic groups (women, older people, etc.). A special survey by Gradus Research and Deloitte Ukraine, which we are presenting together with Olena Boichenko at September 25 at the IX Forum “Conductors of Changes”, will shed light on: - Are people ready to change their profession? What are the barriers and drivers? - Are Ukrainian women considering retraining for stereotypically “male” professions? - Are Ukrainians ready to work after reaching retirement age and under what conditions? What is 2025 going to look like for VC? Talking with many funds and tools that they use, I have a few ideas. And I had the pleasure to discuss with Natalia Jamborova in an interview about the impact of #AI and how it’s going to shape the upcoming years in #VC. From what we've seen at Luphy.io, there’s a big gap between what you can hear and the reality of the use of AI in VC. So here are a few takes: 1️⃣ 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗖 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 A few funds talk a lot about it, but truth is, for the moment the main priority should be on building an operational system that work. Of course AI can help here and there for a few use-cases. But we’re talking about quick fixes. AI impact will only be big if process to collect and process data internally are well set. And for most funds still relying on Sheets/Excel/Airtable, AI revolution won’t happen before years. 2️⃣ Sales AI Industry is booming and a lot of tools will specially adapted to the VC industry especially in the sourcing/screening part of the process 3️⃣ 𝗔𝗣𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗖 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 Users want to add tools but more and more they want those tools to interact in a seamless way with the existing tech stack. API is becoming more and more a commodity for SaaS vendors, in VC but not only.  4️⃣ 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 Analysts are going to be required to know how to build small agents to automate mundane tasks when a product can't do it.  5️⃣ 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 The raise of AI and automation brings the need for VC to rethink the way they work. But in each fund, this cultural change can only be led top-down and will take some time. The bigger the fund, the bigger the challenge.  Now we wait patiently for the futur to unfold. A brief update on Mits Capital. Today, MITS Capital invested in a US drone company that makes low-cost drones in Ukraine—we are now the largest shareholder. Our strategic planning has led us to select the first five companies for our accelerator program in Kyiv. All of them are in the drone supply chain and do not rely on Chinese components. We are also in due diligence with three innovative drone companies that are ready to scale production--their US analogs cost 3-10x as much per unit. We will start fundraising for our venture fund in a couple of weeks. MITS Capital has been invited to a number of important conferences over the next month: -- the London Ukraine Defense Industry Conference, -- a DIU/DIANA conference -- the Berlin Rebuilding Ukraine conference over the next month. Our timing is propitious. The valuations of startups in Ukraine are about 1/10 of similar companies in the US. The US government still prevents banks from financing vendors of war materiel to the Ukrainian government, nor is US/NATO aid directed directly to Ukrainian companies. Ukraine has export and currency controls. These will probably all change in the coming year, creating incredible investment opportunities in the most innovative defense industry in the free world and the lowest cost one.  And new money for Ukraine from Russian assets is in the works. Proud of the MITS Capital team for doing such an impactful event. There has been much talk recently about Ukrainian defense tech influence in reshaping how the future wars will be fought. However, Ukraine’s strategic importance extends beyond just defense innovations. We are the only low cost producer of defense material in the free world. In the situation where the Western defense supply chains are dependant on China, there is just no other country that can help NATO not to loose the new global conflict, which is ongoing. Ukraine has the largest defense industrial base in whole Europe and has been historically the R&D center and components manufacturer for the soviet union. Moreover, we have critical minerals reserves estimated at 20+ trillion USD. This is exactly the reason why the war for Ukraine has always been innevitable. Whoever controls Ukraine has an immense leverage in the new WW3. Those Western leaders, who fail to recognize this now, will be the ones who will go down in history books as new Chamberlains. #ukrainewillwin

🇺🇦🇪🇺 No school renovation project in the world should include installing air-raid shelters. How ever, this is a sad reality in Ukraine where a part of the loan from European Investment Bank (EIB) went towards upgrading a local lyceum, making the school a safer place for some 200 of its students. The Lyceum is the only education institution of its kind for the Ukrainian communities of Pryvovchanske and Malooleksandrivka. The loan is a part of the EUR 200 million Ukraine Early Recovery Programme a joint initiative by the European Union and its Bank, the EIB, to help Ukraine restore social infrastructure and improve living conditions for internally displaced persons. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country in 2022, the EIB disbursed €2 billion for emergency repairs of Ukraine`s infrastructure ravaged daily by the aggressor. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine of Ukraine, together with the Kyiv School of Economics presented a handbook on attracting financing for businesses. On September 16, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Kyiv School of Economics introduced a practical guide detailing available programs for businesses from Ukrainian banks in partnership with international financial organizations. "One of the key sections of the handbook is access to the Ukraine Investment Framework. This financial instrument helps reduce loan costs for businesses through EU guarantees and grants. The total volume of the program is €9.3 billion.
