Well i ve got your idea but this has nothing to do when we are talking about sustainable growth. Looking how you are doing just on revenue basis and FTE is meaningless. Long Story Short: pay close attention to revenue, profit AND cashflow as priority KPIs. Secondary vary derive from your Situation and might give you more detailed picture where necessary. Efficiency might be one where i would keep an eye on rather than rev per fte.
