We are strongly with you Thomas Dohmke - I was today telling to our Eficode leadership team about the state of our strong partnership - and commitment to GitHub vision to empower ”One Billion Developers” . In my home country 🇫🇮 we have approx 5.6 M people => potential is to have more than 0.5 M developers (4 x to current situation). The positive economic and social impact of the AI Native software vision is massive. I am superhappy to be ”Fellow Techno Optimistic” 😁

Completely agree on the importance of early education on coding. It is and will continue to be a foundational skill that, paired up with the collaboration and opportunities that open source offers, will be a critical pillar for evolution and innovation.

Great interview, thanks for sharing. Thomas Dohmke, CEO of Github, is an unshakable techno-optimist, regarding AI innovations and startup evolution *in Europe*, to which I am a somewhat more skeptical. But he is absolutely right in his plea that schools should include early on the teaching of coding. This is not only economically vital for a country, but also good for the kids individually. Coding fosters deep thinking, staying focused, coping with temporary frustration, humbly asking for help, and last but not least, it provides much joy of creating something out of your own ideas. It pulls kids away from boredom and dissatisfaction. It gives them playfulness, pride and sense of purpose,

Great perspective however just think about 5 billion people's whole world is surrounded by a wall of obstacles, poverty, non-guidance, genocide, crime, slavery, and many more negatives. Hope our empathy and the power of greatness will help them to rise like a phoenix with help of AI for humanity.

The only reason I think America and other countries are dominating this space is because their new soon to be government is refusing regulation on things relating to AI where as the EU are a bit more careful with this technology and a lot more diplomatic.
