Renault posted a better-than-expected operating profit for the first half of the year as reported, due to strong pricing and new vehicle launches, and stuck to its full-year profit-margin forecast. The French automaker reported that its first-half sales volume rose +1.9% versus the same period in 2023 due to the strong performance of hybrid models in Europe, its key region. “These record results are the fruit of a considerable work made by the Renault Group teams over the last years. Our efforts to reduce costs and focus our commercial policy on value are reflected in a new line-up, the best one that this company has had in 3 decades. We have implemented the traditional levers of performance improvement, but we have also reconnected the company with the innovative mindset that once made its golden years”, said Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group. #MarketPerformanceUpdate France: The French car market is in a down phase towards mid of the year. With 190,847 new registrations and -4.8% compared to June 2023, the market continued to fall since May. 📉While the start of the year went quite well, now the low order intake starts to play a role as registrations go down. Especially hit by the downturn were the French associated brands. From the high-volume brands Peugeot and Dacia fell most (-15% & -16%). Renault Group was not able to make up for the loss of its group member (+1%). In the Stellantis group, also Opel (-23%) and and Fiat (-31%) and DS (-27%) were affected. Light on the horizon came only from German brands. Volkswagen Group and BMW Group had a notable increase in June with +18% and +15%. 🔋When looking at electrification and emissions in France the situation could be worse. The market share of BEVs has stagnated since April and even went down from 17% to 16%, however it’s still comparably high. CO2 benefits from this, thus France remains with 96 g/km CO2 WLTP significantly below the target of 116 g/km. For December 2024, Renault India is offering substantial discounts across its lineup, including models like the Kwid, Triber, and Duster. 2024 is off to a promising start at Peugeot UK. January's Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) registration data showed PEUGEOT passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales grew by +44% year-on-year, driving a market share increase of +1.1 percentage points to 4.53%. With Europe's widest mainstream electric vehicle range, Peugeot is making the switch to 100% electric mobility more accessible to more people. In January, the New PEUGEOT E-208 topped the charts as UK's No.1 bestselling electric supermini. And, our latest products are attracting new buyers to our brand. Sales of New 208 grew by +32% year-on-year, putting 208 on the podium of the UK's supermini segment. In absolute terms, 85,977 units are among the weakest August results. 📉 Over the last 20 years, only 2013 and 2014 have been worse. · Nissan Motor Corporation (-62%), Tesla (-53%) and French brands (Citroën -45%, Peugeot -25%, Renault Group -26%) took the biggest blows. · Volkswagen Group (+6%) could grow against the trend. 📈 A 7% decrease for the VW brand was compensated by increased registrations of SEAT S.A. What a ride - 2023 was a year full of #milestones for #Dacia! With 68,585 new registrations, we increased our sales in Germany by 14 per cent compared to 2022 despite the challenging economic environment – Dacia grew twice as much as the market! With 2.4 per cent, Dacia also achieved its #highest ever market share in Germany in one year. 
And especially we achieved outstanding results in the retail market, a #historic record for our company. With an average market share of 1.4 per cent per model, we have achieved the highest average value of all brands in the retail sector, putting us in first place. In addition to this: With a market share of 5.5 per cent, we can call ourselves the fastest growing automotive brand in the German retail market. This placed the brand among the top five of all 66 car manufacturers listed individually by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA)!¹ The most remarkable: Dacia achieves this result with the proven #range of four model series, which underlines the unique sales efficiency of our models. We have climbed to #first place in the total market by being the only manufacturer in Germany to achieve more than 12,000 sales of each model. Let me give you a brief insight into our incredible results: By far the best-selling Dacia model in 2023 was once again the #Sandero with 23,234 units, which also achieved the title of best-selling small car in the private market across all manufacturers. 
The icon of the Dacia brand, the #Duster, achieved 18,142 registrations. 
Number three in the brand's internal sales ranking was the all-rounder #Jogger, of which we sold 14,773 units. 
The battery-electric #Spring - a real gateway to electromobility - achieved 12,407 new registrations and is one of the best-selling electric vehicles in Germany. Overall, we can proudly report that every model in the current product range ranked among the top three in its segment in the private market – what a strong #performance! I am looking back with pride on the most successful #business year for Dacia Germany since our market entry in 2005 as well as with excitement for the upcoming business year 2024. 
I am sure that in 2024, we will continue this #success #story - also thanks to the additional push provided by the third generation of the Dacia #Duster.

Renault Group (Euronext CAC40: RNO) has strongly increased its worldwide sales with +9% growth compared to 2022, and with a total of 2.235.345 sold vehicles over the year. The Group demonstrated a successful dynamic with three of its core brands growing significantly. Renault brand growth of +9.4% with 1.548.748 vehicles sold worldwide in 2023. Renault is the best-selling French brand in the world. Renault recorded an excellent growth in Europe and outperformed the market with +19.3% increase compared to 2022. In Europe, the Group benefited from its products offensive by gaining market share, volumes up +18.6% in a market up +13.9%. Renault Group moves up to the 3rd place among car manufacturers in Europe, thanks to three strong, complementary, and value-creating brands. The Group’s retail sales represent 65% of its total sales in its five main countries in Europe, in line with the commercial policy focused on value. Renault Group pursues its electrification offensive. In line with customer needs, the Group has made technological choices that are paying off and is accelerating its efforts in terms of energy transition. Within the Renault brand, demand is growing for electrification – hybrid and all-electric. In Europe, the brand is stepping up its offensive, taking 3rd place in electrified vehicles thanks to Megane E-Tech electric, which has a 2.2% market share of all-electric vehicles, and the success of its hybrid powertrains for which demand is strongly increasing (Austral, Clio and Captur in the top 10 hybrid vehicles in Europe).
