Cohesity CEO Sanjay Poonen talks about Vision vs. Execution. Is it better to have a great vision and average execution or excellent execution and an average vision. (For me, it's the latter - you can always change/adapt your vision). It's a chunk of time but worth a listen....

Just finished listening to Lenny's podcast with Tomer Cohen. Two main takeaways that resonated with me: 1. 𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 ↳ A simple phrase that emphasizes the importance of clarity and alignment within a team. I actually prefer it over the over-used “disagree and commit” (at least the way it is used by most). I see Tomer’s mantra as proactive alignment and clarity in strategy, while "disagree and commit" is more reactive, dealing with existing disagreements for the sake of moving forward. 2. 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 ↳ In some situations, teams move faster and launch more successful products. Over the years I started seeing “under promise over deliver” as playing it safe, playing to not lose. Great episodes with tons of insights on product leadership, AI strategies, and the evolution of LinkedIn feeds.
