Hugging Face 𝗮𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 XetHub 👉 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙪𝙗 We'll shortly be joined by the 12 talented folks from XetHub, who will now work with us on improving the Hub! 👏 🤔 How will that make the Hub better? Until today: ➤ For sharing normal assets (models or datasets), we used vanilla Git. ➤ For huge assets, we used Git LFS (large file system), built to share files of over 100 Megabytes ➡️ But AI grew too fast: models and datasets are now in the Terabytes. git LFS is built for "large" files, not these "crazy scale" ones, so it's not up to task anymore. The other day I wanted to change one single line in a Llama-3.1-70B-Instruct file ⇒ I had to clone the whole repo of ~280 Gb. ⛔️ As you can guess, it was a pain, the push kept crashing in the middle. ✅ Now with XetHub integration, these huge files will be intelligently chunked: you can change one specific row, no need to re-upload the whole thing! 👏 💫 My dream feature would be to see git diffs on the dataset viewer, to see which specific row changed! Ugh. The posting an article is being buggy. :-( I *had* an article about GitHub's Octoverse in 2023 and suffice it to say, I had opinions. You can view the Google Doc here: https://lnkd.in/gb_Eq46w Highlights: AI is skyrocketing, India is adding more developers than anyone else by a factor of 5x, the old people are *FINALLY* getting out of the way of modernizing various aspects of systems development, and... my dear young people... please be more selective about going \retro.

Daert ML is becoming 1 year old soon! And today one of the objectives why #Daert was created is being accomplished! 👇 About 1 year ago, Miguel Otero Pedrido, Daniel Fernandez and I decided to join forces in the development of the future stack for #LLM based applications, and to bring other innovations to the #AI ecosystem. Then, a new open source community was created. Today a first draft of such stack for deploying LLM apps in production is being released! The "daert-stack" is our first approach into solving this problem; yet different versions of the stack will be released, suitable for less or more complex environments. I have to admit it has been difficult to get all the pieces together, possibly they seem to be a lot of pieces, more than one should expect to follow the simplicity principles in the ecosystem; yet, we believe it is hard to accomplish a production environment by just running a bunch of services from the stack. A more detailed description of the stack is going to be finished in the days to come, as well as the first infrastructure components: we will start with docker-compose and evolve to a kubernetes environment. This is just a spark for what is to come... so better fasten your seatbelts! 🏎 https://lnkd.in/dgWhcRn7

We just wrapped up our Developer Experience discussion lounge at GitHub Universe! Some of you asked me to share some of the takeaways from the discussion lounge - ask and you shall receive! Preeti Kota and I coming to you raw and live right after our session in the video below 😊 Sorry about the audio - we had a DJ spinning some killer tracks behind us! Thanks to everyone who came to the session. It was a fantastic discussion, and it's always nice to have a full house. The questions we asked were: 🔈 What is a good Developer Experience? 🔈 What are your biggest impediments to improving DevEx? 🔈 What role does AI play in improving DevEx? Drop us your thoughts on the discussion in the comments below! #DevOps #DeveloperExperience #AI

🙌 Congratulations to the Sourcegraph team on the launch of Cody Enterprise. 🙌 Impressive event last night in San Francisco with inspirational speakers from OpenAI (Romain Huet) Palo Alto Networks (Marc Benoit), Coinbase (Roderick R.), bet365 (Alan Reed), Leidos (Rob Linger), Redpoint Ventures (Erica Brescia) and more! Excellent keynote from Quinn Slack framing the challenges facing developers and engineering leaders in the age of #AI 💡 Coding is fun 💡 Organizations are drowning in code; #GenAI is going to make this worse 💡 UNDERSTANDING that code, is painful! Cody helps your team understand existing code and write new code faster; allowing devs to spend more time on "inner loop" activity. The Enterprise features include guardrails for public code and enhanced analytics (Think code completion & acceptance rates). Definitely worth checking out. Cody gives you choice (Multi LLM), Context (Multi-repository) & Scale (incl on-prem) Thanks Tom Pinckney for the invite. #engineering #engineeringexcellence
Cody is enterprise ready

Hello Connections, In the age of #GenerativeAI, industry processes are becoming increasingly #automated through innovative solutions. As my first step toward contributing to society after gaining experience as a #GenerativeAIEngineer, I’ve developed a Custom Search Engine with the following features: 1. Select from models like [Mistral, Llama3.2, Gemma2] to tailor responses. 2. Customize parameters such as temperature and max_tokens for each query. This solution is entirely built using open-source tools, incorporating #ollama and #langchain. Check out the demo of my Custom Search Engine below! The code repository is also available for reusability : https://lnkd.in/gSv-cBsY #Github #DataScience #search #engine
