Why choose Kimball Midwest for a career opportunity? One of many reasons chose Kimball Midwest because I am one of the strongest believers and promoters of continuous improvement you will find. I have a craving for knowledge and have my whole life. Kimball Midwest aligns with this well. Many companies say a lot of things on paper but don’t back them up or do them very minimally. Kimball Midwest is continually improving and bettering itself as a company and helping its people become the best, most productive versions of themselves. If you want the best choose Kimball Midwest! #sales #learning #continuousimprovement
Kimball Midwest has proudly clinched an award for its exceptional learning and development initiatives for the fourth consecutive year. On October 21, the company was among 35 prestigious organizations celebrated in Tucson, Arizona, during Chief Learning Officer’s 14th LearningElite Awards program, sharing the spotlight with industry giants like Cardinal Health, Cleveland Clinic Health System, and Nationwide. “At Kimball Midwest, supporting our two main customers—the end users of our products and all our associates—is a top priority,” said Kate Callison, Director of Sales Development. “Our dedication to being a learning organization enhances this by fostering associate career growth and boosting product and industry knowledge, enabling us to best serve our customers.” Read the full press release: https://hubs.li/Q02VtXvb0

Governments often recognize outstanding individuals in various fields by awarding them medals as a token of appreciation for their remarkable contributions. These individuals, whether from industries or society, are acknowledged for their relentless dedication and efforts that have significantly advanced innovation and societal growth. However, while medals serve as prestigious honors, there's often a gap when it comes to providing substantial support to these high achievers to further their meaningful impact. It raises the question: is conferring a medal the extent of our recognition for top performers? Shouldn't there be more tangible efforts to facilitate their endeavors towards societal betterment? Despite their invaluable contributions, many of these individuals face hurdles in obtaining necessary resources and support to amplify their initiatives. Sponsoring their offices and expenses on state causes could not only empower them to continue their impactful work but also foster a culture of sustained innovation and progress. Ultimately, while medals symbolize appreciation, true support lies in actively backing the endeavors of these exceptional individuals. By investing in their projects and providing avenues for collaboration, governments can harness their potential for driving positive change and fostering sustainable growth in society.

At ACR 2024, AWIR leaders Dr. @Grace Grace Wright and Dr. Gail Kerr joined partners to spotlight the Academy for Workforce Advancement to Enrich Rheumatology Diversity (AWARD) program. This initiative focuses on mentoring, creating resources, advocating for social justice, and developing leadership opportunities for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in medicine. While 13% of the U.S. population identifies as Black, only 5% of active physicians come from Black communities. AWIR is working to close this gap by empowering underrepresented voices in rheumatology and creating pathways for future leaders. Through AWARD and initiatives like supporting trainees at conferences and conducting research on disparities in care, AWIR is paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable workforce. 👉 What more can be done to diversify healthcare? You have doubt. So did I. When I attended my first National Speakers Association conference in 2016, I doubted that I would ever obtain my Certified Speaking Professional™ designation. But there were a lot of people who lifted me up when I had those doubts. Earning this certification is no easy task. There are only 400 active CSPs. The process takes years. But NSA is an organization of givers. If you want your teams to succeed at hard tasks, you need to have givers, mentors and those who champion newer members. When I energize teams, we talk about the givers. Do that. Be that type of organization. Uplift your teams. And if you are a professional organization (LeadingAge, AHCA/NCAL Argentum, National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization National Association for Home Care & Hospice) uplift your members. Help them be the best professional they can be. Thank you to the givers: Joe Mull M.Ed, CSP, Renee Thompson DNP, RN, FAAN, Workplace Bullying Expert, Jeff Tobe Innovation and Customer Experience Expert, .Mj Callaway, CCMS, CSP, CVP, Annie Meehan 🎤 CSP🎤 David Newman, CSP, @Michelle Villalobos, David Avrin Jessica Kennison Bryan Shellenberger Paige Schmitz Graham Gillen Jennifer L. FitzPatrick, MSW, LCSW-C, CSP and so, so many more.

In a world ready to convince us that we can individually dismantle supremacy culture in one lifetime knowing it has been assembled, tried, tested, and improved over hundreds of years, I am grateful to continue to immerse myself in intentional community building with the Acosta Institute and its amazing team and extended community. A word to the wise and to debunk a common assumption, this powerful work is a process. Understanding and remembering throughout processes of un-learning may spark in-the-moment lightbulb moments in real time or begin gradual transformations and real growth. Our sense of normal may vastly differ. In today's version of unlearning I'm nowhere near perfectly adapted. With awareness, the work is still working.
Honoring the Acosta Institute Faculty & Team 💐 Join us in celebrating the incredible minds behind our Healing-Centered Education Certificate Program! From groundbreaking teachings on human flourishing to fostering healing-centered practices, they pave the way for transformative education. Thank you to our dedicated faculty and team members for their unwavering support and guidance throughout the journey. Together, we're shaping a future of empowered learning and collective healing. ❤️🩹🎓 #AcostaInstitute #Community #HealingCenteredEducation - Dr. Angel Acosta - Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz - Latise Hairston, Ph.D, PCC, CDP, Prosci certified - Dr. Kia DH - Arlène Elizabeth Casimir - Solana Booth - Maria Tan - Drisana (Dru) McDaniel (she/her/hers) - Makēda Gershenson - Joshua Feliz Martinez
