I don't do anything half-heartedly. I'm working on a Motown slow jam for a private client at the moment. Delving into a specific era with music production requires a serious level of preparation. What you hear is snippet of the instrumental, but what I hear is... - A #precisionbass set up in the style of James Jamerson (flat-wound strings with a sponge under them, volume cranked all the way up) - A #stratocaster muffled beyond comparison and reverbed generously to emulate a 60's jazz guitar. - A single violin recorded at 1 metre, 2 metres and 3 metres away from the mic to emulate the spatial organisation of a full string section. - A baby grand piano slightly detuned deliberately to emulate the warping of tape/vinyl over time. Getting stuck into a challenge is what I love most about all of the work I do, from social media content creation to obscure era-specific music production. The intersection between those two topics is where I thrive. #musicmarketing #musicindustry #socialmediamarketing
