How much do you give?

How much do you give?

Many years ago a Trainer of mine sat in a room with about 10 new hires and said, “Learning this role is tough, what percentage are you going to give to this job?” There were various answers of 200%, 150%, 110% and a class clown said 75%. The trainer said, “The only one that can be right is 75% because you can never give more that 100%!” This was not meant to be a trick or a way to put us down but instead show us that listening and comprehending the reality of the question is far more important than inflating what cannot be true.

Think about that statement – You can only use 100% of your brain, you can only put into effect 100% of your knowledge, you can learn more but then you are still at 100% of what you know.

With the many changes the world is going through it is important to remember each customer, prospect, partner, co-worker, manager is only able to accomplish 100% of their current situation. That might mean we have to change how we communicate or understand their lack of response, to show them we are here to provide 100% of what they need and can receive at this time.

Simply put strive to provide 100% and it will be recognized by everyone!
