Dear maam: Greetings! As per partial requirement for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, we the fourth year nursing students of Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology are conducting a research entitled Caring Beyond Words: Assessment and Evaluation of Registered Nurses Cultural Competence in Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital, Iligan City. This study aims to determine the assess the level of knowledge, skills, attitudes, encounters or situations, education, and training of the registered nurses working in GTLMH. The result of this study would identify if there is a need to reinforce cultural competency trainings to registered nurses in order to enhance delivery of health care service. In this pursuit, we would like to conduct a survey on your honorable institutions health team particularly on the registered nurses working on the different wards and special areas. They will be asked to answer structured questionnaires which are revised according to the applicability to the work setting. It is in this regard that we humbly ask for your permission to allow us to conduct our research and distribute the questionnaires among the nurses of your respectable institution. This would greatly ensure not only the success of our study but also to our desire to contribute something to the field of nursing.
