Use lines on gym floor watch for others Move around the gym on lines. Cant change direction until you meet someone else.

Lesson Focus/Skill Component Spread out in gym maintaining control of hoop Stop on signal and jump in hoop Call to line by colour of hoop Practice Component Move to line and back with original moves
Cool Down Pass the Hoop: move around play area. When signal goes, line up with colour group and pass hoops along line and end with pile. Go back the other way or collect hoops. Closure Call groups according to hoop colour to put hoop away and line up for drinks.
Assessment Observation tool with names and blank spaces for notes about locomotor movement.

1. Amoeba Tag Have one or two its. When tagged lock arms with it to form an amoeba. When amoeba consists of four, split into two amoebas. 2. Shipwreck Captain calls out moves. Change captains frequently. Sailing: move throughout the gym swaying as if on waves Bow: move to front of activity area Stern: move to back of activity area Starboard: slide to right of activity area Port: slide to left of activity area Swab the deck: pretend to mop ships deck Crows nest: stretch up tall and pretend to look through a telescope Shipwreck: freeze in an interesting pose. Iceberg: freeze in an interesting pose. Walk the Plank: take 10 steps on the spot, with high knees , then turn 180 degrees, take another 10 steps on the spot, and once gain turn 180 degrees. Land Fall: fall down and kiss the ground that you walk on.
Cool Down Stretching routine in scatter formation with student or squad leaders.
Closure Call out squads one by one and have them do an iceberg pose before heading to change room. Assessment Observe students participation during tag game and balance and weight transfer in Shipwreck and record on checklist.
