OBJECTIVES To provide essential back ground about the need for database and areas where it is being used. To present basic information about different data models, database system architecture and entity relationship model. To Study the different type of keys and relational calculus. To enable the students to write SQL queries for different scenarios and introducing them to distributed databases. To develop skill in understanding the different normal forms and enables them to normalize complex tables.
