1). Click on the start button in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. 2). At the top of the start menu it says New Office Document. Click this. In the new menu, double-click on Blank Presentation

Now click on the
icon in the top right-hand side of the screen, next to the 'New Slide' icon

Now click on the
icon in the Slide Design window, underneath the Design Templates icon

You will be given a choice of between 6 and 12 different colour on depending schemes the slide design you have chosen Now choose a colour scheme!

When you click on the slide outside the Text Box, the Text Box border disappears To make the Text Box border appear again just click on the text

Changing Text Box properties
The border of the Text Box is shaded with diagonal lines. This means the Text Box is in Text Writing Mode If you put your mouse over the Text Box border, notice that the cursor changes to a four-arrowed cross like this: Put your mouse over the Text Box border and click once. The shading of the border will become dotted. This means the Text Box is in Change Properties Mode To get back into Text Writing Mode just click on the text in the Text Box

Now make sure that your Text Box is in Change Properties Mode i.e. dotted border shading
Change the following font properties by clicking on the icons in the Standard toolbar at the top of the screen (similar to the ones in Microsoft Word) Font Style Font Size Font Colour

Changing the size of a Text Box
At the corners of the Text Box and at the mid-points of the lines there are white dots. dots If you put your mouse over these dots the cursor changes into a doublearrowed line
When the double-arrowed cursor appears press the mouse button and hold it down. The cursor will change into a cross
Drag the mouse in the directions the double-arrowed line points (Note: the easiest way to change the size of the whole Text Box is to drag the white dots on the corners diagonally)

Moving a Text Box
To move the Text Box put your mouse over the border so that the four-arrowed cross appears Then press the mouse button and hold it down
Drag the Text Box to where you want it on the slide and release the mouse button
Delete the Click to add subtitle' Text Box by going into Change Properties Mode (dotted border shading) and pressing Delete on your keyboard

This time choose the blank slide option in the Contents Layouts Next you can make your own Text Box

On the Task Bar at the bottom of the screen you will see an Explorer window called Maps & Flags

Now pick a country and double-click on the folder to open it There are two images in the folder: a map a flag Click once on the map image file and press the Control Key (Ctrl) + C on your keyboard

Press the Control Key (Ctrl) + V on your keyboard and the image should appear on your slide Drag the image to where you want it on the slide
