CISSP MindMap - 1

The document provides advice for studying for the CISSP exam, recommending dedicating 2-3 hours daily and focusing on the (ISC)2 CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Official Study Guide by Shon Harris as the primary resource. It also suggests using practice questions from the Shon Harris book and the cccure.org website to build concepts, thinking like a manager, learning concepts rather than cramming, and that hard work pays off.

CISSP MindMap

Books/Material used:
1) Shon Edition AIO 6th Edition
2) Shon Harris Practice Questions (Tata McGraw Hills)
3) Eric Conrad 11th Hour
4) Cccure.org
And for those who are preparing for the exam:
1) I started studying for the exam since May 2013 but it was on and off and without any seriousness but
from August 2014 I devoted 2-3 hours daily towards the exam.
2) Shon Harris AIO 6th Edition is the only thing you need (Treat it as a BIBLE). Dont go for every other
book you see on Internet.
3) Cccure.org questions are no way related to the exam. But yes, theyll help you build the concepts.
4) Solve the questions you see at the end of each chapter in AIO book and Shon Harris Practice
Questions. They are really good.
5) Try to think like a manager. Yes, this is very much true. And use your COMMON SENSE (though its
not so common) plus experience.
6) Learn concepts and dont cram.
7) Last but not the least, Hardwork pays
