Autocad Report
AutoCAD is a software application for 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting. AutoCAD is a vector based drawing application intended for engineering purposes. Commands can be entered at a command line or through toolbars and menus. AutoCAD is a computer aided drafting program primarily utilized by architects, interior designers, and engineers. This program is set up primarily for this function, and provides the ability to work in tabs and overlay separate drawings, thereby allowing architects to print only the information they chose to. AutoCAD can also be used by engineers to design buildings and mechanical items as well. While the software is primarily used for construction purposes, it can also be used to design a machine or even a submarine or airplane. The 3D CAD design is often utilized for this purpose, thereby providing a visual idea of what the object will look like while still specifying the engineering information needed to construct it. While most architects, engineers and interior designers still draft some items by hand, AutoCAD has made this nearly unnecessary. The program also allows for the insertion or creation of text documents and spreadsheets, thus making the sharing of project information simpler. The various capabilities of this program and the relative ease of use have made it a staple in the construction and engineering fields.
Once the program is loaded into memory, the AutoCAD 2013 drawing screen will appear on the screen. Note that AutoCAD automatically assigns generic name, Drawing X, as new drawings are created. In our example, AutoCAD opened the graphics window using the default system units and assigned the drawing name Drawing1.

Arc Command
1. Choose Draw, Arc. Or 2. Click the Arc icon. or 3. Type ARC at the command prompt Command: ARC 4. Draw One of the arcs.
TIPS:
-Except for 3 point arcs, arcs are drawn in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction. - While in the arc command, press the right mouse button to select the following options for arcs:
Spline
The SPLINE command creates a particular type of spline known as a nonuniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curve. A NURBS curve produces a smooth curve between control points
1. 2. 3.
Draw,Spline. or the Spline icon. or SPLINE at the command prompt Command: SPLINE
