New Faculty, Staff Join Cayuga CC in


Auburn, Fulton
Cayuga Community College is welcoming several new faculty and
staff members to its Auburn and Fulton campuses to replace
recent retirees and meet rising enrollment demands.

· Philip J. Addabbo, CPA, of Marcellus, is an instructor of


business and accounting for the Fulton campus. He earned a
bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY College
at Buffalo and a master’s degree in accounting from Syracuse
University. Addabbo has served as controller or chief financial
officer for several Syracuse-based companies, and has taught
accounting and business as an adjunct instructor for Cayuga.

· Nicole Z. Adsitt of Syracuse, coordinator of developmental


studies, has a bachelor’s degree in speech–language pathology
from Nazareth College and a master’s degree in higher education
from Syracuse University. Before this appointment, Adsitt was
director of academic support services for Le Moyne College. Her
prior experience includes supervision of learning communities and
residence halls in higher education settings.

· Ngoc Anna P. Huynh, Ph.D., of Chicago, is an instructor of


psychology for the Auburn campus. She earned both her
doctorate in experimental social cultural psychology and her
master’s degree in experimental psychology from DePaul
University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from SUNY
College at Oswego. She has been an adjunct instructor of
psychology at DePaul, teaching introductory, developmental,
social, cultural, experiential and multicultural courses.
· Melissa R. Johnson of Manlius, instructor of art for the
Auburn campus, holds a BFA and an MFA in painting from the
School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in
rural sociology from Cornell University. She has been an adjunct
instructor in several studio art disciplines for area colleges
including Cayuga, has exhibited widely, and has served on thesis
review panels for Wells College and Syracuse University.

· Patrick L. McPeak of Syracuse, director of student


development, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Le
Moyne College and a master’s degree in counselor education from
Syracuse University. His employment background in higher
education includes student events and organizations, student
conduct, judicial affairs and intercollegiate athletics.

· Vita Marie Racko of LaFayette, student development


counselor for the Fulton campus, has a bachelor’s degree in
psychology and French from Le Moyne College and a master’s
degree in community counseling from the University of Scranton.
Racko has provided academic advising as well as personal, career
and transfer counseling in university and community college
settings.

· Nathaniel R. Thomas of Harrisburg, Pa., psychology


instructor for the Fulton campus, received a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Coastal Carolina University and a master’s
degree in experimental psychology from Syracuse University. He
has been a lecturer in statistics and behavioral, comparative and
developmental psychology at Syracuse University and a graduate
teaching assistant in the psychology laboratories.

· Amy Valente of Victor, instructor of business for the Auburn


campus, earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration
from SUNY University at Albany and her MBA from St. John Fisher
College. In the private sector, Valente has been involved in
software engineering and online business development. As an
adjunct instructor for Finger Lakes Community College, she has
taught business courses on-campus and online.
