Review 8 Studio Habits of an Artist

Note: this project will be 4 separate grades. After you select the art movement complete the following:

Assignment 1 Details:
1. Present 3-4 -minute slide presentation about an assigned artist

Slide Presentation should include:


Highlights the main themes or characteristics of art movement, the main influences
in this art style, plus any interesting facts about specific artists.
A meaningful quotation from a significant artist pioneering this art style, what has his
or her said about artwork (if you can find one)
A few examples (3-5) of significant artists work showing the style of your selected art
movement
Feather one main piece that shows art movement style from historic periodyou
will then tell us about this artwork, interpret it for the class
Include the artists name, nationality of the artist, the title of the work, the date, and
the medium
Make 2 or at the most 3 slides
Cite work

Slide Tips:
Use no smaller than a 24-point font
Use bullet points rather than complete sentences
Find the highest quality images possible

Assignment 2-4 Details (3 parts):


Create your own Artwork: Media of your choice to develop an artwork inspired by
your selected art movement. Learning Goals and Planning: choose materials &
techniques, setting up work space

2. Digital portfolio: photos and 3 or 4 photos of your artwork as developed this is a


visual documentation of creating processes (a guide will be provided)

3. Artists Statement - DAIJ response to art movement and your own work that will be
displayed in glass corridor
