Part II: Reflection
CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
During this field experience, I implemented a lesson plan I created during my ITEC 7430
course at Kennesaw State University in which students use various Web 2.0 tools. I learned
the creating useful technology-infused lesson plans can be complicated and takes a lot of
time. Finding the right tools for your lesson can be difficult and costly, but with a little
research, teachers can find resources that cost little to no money.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
During the field experience, I gained knowledge of unique educational Web 2.0 tools. I
developed the skill to evaluate software and hardware for use in the classroom. I was also
able to keep a positive attitude during the stressful portions of the FE. This includes
working through power failures, school breaks, and fire drills during class.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
The students learn how to use digital tools that they never used before. They were able to
meet the standards put into place and should an interest in continuing the learning process
outside of the classroom. I assessed the students, via observations and a rubric used to
evaluate the students' projects.
