If client requirement is not fulfilled by standard configuration or If there is no any solution by standard
configuration then we will treat it as gap in sap.

Example of GAP-

1.1 MULTIPLE FREE GOODS IN SAP:- In standard Free goods we can’t


determine multiple goods as free. So we give alternate solution through
BOM.

FUTURE DATE POSTING:- Client requirement is system should not allow to


create invoice in Future Date.

For this requirement we need to develop new routine.

VBRK/VBRP  001 / 006 / 007 are standard routine.

Take XVBRK –FKDAT (billing date)

Take XVBRK-ERDAT (SYSTEM DATE)

If XVBRK-FKDAT is greater than XVBRK-ERDAT

Give error message. “Future date posting not allowed”

PAST DATE POSTING:- Client requirement is system should not allow to


create invoice in Future Date.

Take XVBRK –FKDAT (billing date)

Take XVBRK-ERDAT (SYSTEM DATE)

If XVBRK-FKDAT is less than XVBRK-ERDAT

Give error message. “Future date posting not allowed
