After completion of this intern project, it gives us great pleasure to express gratitude

I articulate my profound gratitude to my Head of Department, Dr. N. Ruben for his

I am thankful to my lecturers and internship coordinator Mr. M. Siva Rama Krishna to

give me opportunity and encouragement to complete this project. I am also thankful to
all faculty members of the department Civil Engineering for giving a great support.
We are thankful to Our Chairman Dr. L. Rattiah for the opportunity to do internship
and also their indispensable encouragement with salient guidelines and esteemed
suggestions at right times throughout the project work.
We convey our sincere thanks to beloved and honorable Mr. V. Venkateshwara Rao,
Project Manager of Velko Infratek Projects Pvt. Ltd., for allowing me to do
internship in their project and also for spending their valuable time to clarify my
doubts throughout the course. I feel it an outstanding to do such an interesting report
under their guidance and during the course, I learnt many things.
I express my sincere thanks to Shri. V. Rama Rao garu, Managing Director of Velko
Infratek projects, and V. Venkateshwara Rao, General Manager of Velko Infratek
projects Pvt. Ltd.
Finally, I would like to thank all the people who involved in this internship directly or
indirectly whom this project would not have shaped out to my expectations.
ABSTRACT
The project that we are engaged with is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme
called AMRUT scheme. Due to this, construction of 36 Tanks was started in
Anakapalli Mandal. All these constructions were undertaken by Velko Infratek & this
project worth is around 36 crores. Types of tank that are recommended to construct
were ELSR (Elevated Service Reservoir), GLSR/GLBR (Ground Level
Reservoir/Ground Level Balance Reservoir), Sump.
An On-field Training of 30 days for learning basics, adapting to work atmosphere,

interaction with work persons helped us a lot throughout the intern. After training, we
involved in the work which was given to us by Incharge. In on- field, we have learnt
about Process of construction, Understand the details that were provided in design,
Correction of some errors that may occur suddenly in field, how to deal with workmen
& field challenges.
Later on, we involved in office work, which involves, Quantity Estimation by

calculating every detail like steel, concrete etc., & Rough Estimation.
