4. TYPE OF OPERATION
5. MAINTENANCE POLICY
5.1.1 Latest MPD of Aircraft Manufacturer. Aircraft Maintenance Program will be updated
within 90 days w.e.f. revision date of MPD. However relaxation in time period may
be considered if MPD is not received in time from manufacturer.
5.1.2 All applicable inspection requirements as per Airworthiness Directives issued by the
authority of the country of manufacturer of Aircraft, urgent telexes and Mandatory
service-~ulletinsissued by Aircraft/ Engine1 compon&nt Manufacturer not covered
in ltem 5.1.1.
5.1.3 All PCAA requirements regarding inspection and life of components.
5.1.4 Other requirements generated on the basis of operator experience or Reliability
Control Program of the operator.
5.2 The life list of components shall be developed from the documents referred in ltem 5.1.
5.3 DEFINITIONS
MAINTENANCE BASE: Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are designated as Maintenance
Bases.

5.4 The maintenance checks shall be performed at the periods s p e c i f i e w o w :
A-CHECK CYCLE: The A-check cycle consists of eight grounding events i-e
(A1 to A8). All due check packages as per A-Check Matrix shall be performed.
5.4.5 CHECK 'C':
This check shall be accomplished at an Interval of 7500 FH 1 5000 FC 1 24
MONTHS (Whichever is earlier). Whenever check 'C' is performed the due check
'A', Weekly Check and Daily check shall also be performed.
Following Multiples of 'C' checks are used.
'2C': This check shall be accomplished at an interval of 15000 FH110000FC148 MON.
C-CHECK CYCLE: The C-check cycle consists of two grounding events i-e
(C1 to C2). All due check packages as per C-Check Matrix shall be performed.

MAINTENANCE CERTIFICATION:
5.7.2 Maintenance Release (MR) shall be issued after completion of check 'A' and
higher check as per requirements described in the latest version of Ref: PCAA AWNOT-
065-AWRG (However, only one 'MR' shall be issued, when more than one checks are
carried out simultaneously).
5.7.4 Certificate o f Fitness for Flight (CFF) shall be issued as per requirements
described in the latest version of Ref: PCAA AWNOT-065-AWRG
6. MANDATORY NOTES

6.2 Nothing in the approved 'Maintenance Program Preamble' is to be construed as
absolving the 'Corporation' and aircraft 'Maintenance Engineers' from maintaining the
aircraft in a thoroughly ailworthy condition. Any damage or defect affecting the safety of
aircraft must be rectified before it flies again unless provisioned in PCAA approved MEL.
6.3 The aircraft shall not be operated under the terms of this 'Maintenance Program
Preamble' unless the aircraft, its components, parts, accessories and appliances are
maintained in an aiworthy condition in accordance with the maximum time limits set
forth in manufacturer's documents 1 PCAA requirements for the accomplishment of the
overhauling, periodic inspections and routine checks of the aircraft, its components,
parts, accessories and appliances and are certified as such by appropriately qualified
personnel.
6.4 Aircraft will be released only by an appropriately qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
after ensuring compliance with the current manufacturer's maintenance manual and
PCAA approved procedures.
6.5 A record of all defects reported by flight crew or found during maintenance Iinspection
shall be maintained. The corrective action in all cases will be ensured and also recorded.
6.6 Any reference made to this 'Maintenance Program Preamble' in the logbooks and any
other technical records must include PCAA approval number, issue and date.
6.7 A certified true copy of the approved 'Maintenance Program Preamble' must be ava'ilable
to personnel at the places where the requirements of this schedule are being
implemented.
6.8 Above checks shall be carried out where adequate facilities are available.
6.9 The validity of 'Maintenance Program Preamble' is subject to availability of all necessary
technical infrastructures for carrying out all the periodic Checks I Inspections in
accordance with the recommended practices Iprocedures.
6.10 A Reliability Report for aircraft, components, parts, accessories and appliances shall be
prepared by operator shop-wise on monthly basis and corrective action initiated afler
analysis and approval by PCAA where necessary.
6.1 1 Non-compliance with any of the above conditions will render the approval void.
