CLOT XCAL Field Manual

1. Install XCAL app & License

Download apk from below link,

1.1. Following are required to make X-CAL work

 1. “WiFi” should be OFF
 2. “Mobile network” should be in “LTE only” mode
 3. SIM card selected for Data should be RJIL
 4. Mobile data should be ON
 5. Location mode ON
 6. Data roaming ON

Launch X-CAL from Mobile app page > for license select IMEI and download license ( If LTE connection is not
successful license update will fail)

2. IP Sec Disable & SIP Digest

2.1. Install apk attached below for IP Sec Disabling

2.2. Steps for IP Disabling after installing above apk

Click Launch Setting

Unselect enable IPSec to

disable IPSec

2.3. Steps for IP Disabling after installing above apk

Activate SIP Digest by forwarding IMSI no to Core team to perform SIP Digest.(This step is important in
order to capture SIP messages in XCAL.)

1. Perform the CLOT automation drive using XCAL- Auto Mobile for 1800/2300
Band.
1.1. Call scenarios:
 There will be total 5 call scenarios, which will be running in parallel, over 5 different Samsung S4-
mini /Core Prime handsets. Following are the call scenarios to be used.
 LDL1 – (Long FTP download call 1).
 LDL2 – (Long FTP download call 2).
 LUL – (Long FTP Upload call).
 VoL – (Long VoLTE call).
 VoS – (Short VoLTE call).

1.2. Drive setup & guidelines:

 During Cluster drive test, engineer will perform following activities in continuous log.
 ENGINEER needs to arrange all five handsets in following configuration as shown. Please note
below picture is just a representation with 4 mobiles, in actual field 5 handset needs to be
used.

 Check whether the GPS in all the mobiles, have got latched & stable GPS icon appears as
shown below in procedures for using “XCAL Auto mobile” for CLOT.
 Check whether the mobiles are getting charged via car inverter.
 Start LDL1, LDL2, LUL, VoL & VoS calls simultaneously.
 Check whether the logs are getting generated, as seen in picture below.
 Start moving on the defined drive route, as seen on the map window of the XCAL mobile.
 Please note, the phone which is used to check the drive route, the map window should be
configured in such a way that, it should reflect the main KPI as the legend. For eg. If FTP DL
mobile is used for viewing the route, then the legend parameter should be set as Application
DL throughput. This is important, since the drive test engineer might not be aware, in case of
FTP failure. Don’t use parameter like RSRP, SINR etc, which can be also visible in idle call case.
 Inform the manager about the completion of the drive and move for the next drive if time
permits for the day.

1.3. Steps for CLOT procedure in Accuver XCAL Auto Call for 1800/2300 Band Only:
 Please follow below step by step procedure, for conducting Autocall using Accuver DM on all 5
Samsung S4-mini handsets.
 Shown below is the example on one of the handsets, do the same procedure for remaining
handset, only difference is that the scenario button should be selected as per call requirement.
Will be shown in the end of this procedure.

2. Perform the 1st CLOT automation drive using XCAL- Auto Mobile for 850 Band
Only.
2.1. Call scenarios:

3. Miscellaneous Features
6.1 Addition of an alarm window which pops up for Cycle change
 Cycle Change notification pop up comes when we change another cycle without completing existing drive
logs

6.2 Band Lock Feature

 Unable to lock dual band without Engg Code.
 Another band can be selected additionally if tapping frequency button for more than 3 seconds, which
require Engg code. So to lock dual/tri band we require engg. Code.

6.3 GUI Windows Color change significances

 RSRP and Throughput window colors changes from green to red as it is below min threshold value of cells

 SINR window colors changes from green to red as it is below min threshold value of cells

6.4 Gps Status

 GPS window color changes as GPS status is unlock & GPS Unlock Notification will comes.

6.5 “Cancel” Button for Call stop

 Added Cancel button for Complete / In Progress. When Cancel button is tapped, file name is
changed as follows. 20150910172809-R8008-Cluster_LDL1_C1_Cancel-1_MU-MUMB-0124_F1876
 Pressing Cancel Option Not Increasing Indexing Counter.
 One Suggestion If You Selecting This Option in Any mobile due to some problem Please select
“Cancel” for All Other mobile scenario, as you are doing redrive for that File & so route repeat in
Other Scenario.
 Text file is deleted, and drx file is uploaded to FMS, but not uploaded to actix server.

 If while opening XCAL App, if XCAL mobile appears, then follow below steps in order to go to XCAL
Auto Mobile.
