Free Crochet Pattern: Pink Owl Amigurumi Doll

How cute is this little pink owl? Her sweet little face (and fluffy ears!) just makes you want to snuggle her! I love
the way her eyes and beak are layered on her face for a cool dimensional effect and the embroidered feathers
on her belly are just the the perfect finishing touches. And don't forget those little embroidered eye lashes!
This amigurumi owl is ready for some snuggles. So make one for someone who could use a little amigurumi

Materials Needed
 Yarn colors: light pink, fuchsia pink, yellow, and small amounts of black, blue and white.
 Stuffing (artificial cotton or polifil).
 Wooden button in the shape of a flower.
 A "handmade" label.

Crochet in rounds, in light pink.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Round 2: 1 inc in every stitch (12)
Round 3: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) (18)
Round 5: Repeat ( 3 sc, 1 inc) (30)
Round 12 - 23: 1 sc in every stitch (66)
Round 24: Repeat (9 sc, 1 dec) (60)
Round 26: Repeat 7 sc, 1 dec) (48)
Fasten off, but leave a long yarn tail for sewing the head to the body.
Stuff the head.

Crochet in rounds in light pink yarn.
Round 2: 1 inc in every stitch (12)

Eyes
Make two.
The eyes are crocheted in joined rounds, not in spirals. End each round with a slip stitch and start each round by
chaining one stitch.
Round 1: In black, 6 sc in magic ring (6).

Round 2: In light blue, 6 inc (12)
Round 3: Switch to white. Repeat (1 dc, 1 inc) (18)
With white yarn embroider a glitter in each eye. (See photo).
Sew or or glue the eyes on the face (in this case they are glued with a silicone gun).
Embroider three little eyelashes in black yarn on each eye (see photo).
Beak
In yellow.
Crochet in rows, not in rounds.
Round 1: Chain 5
Round 2: 4 sc
Round 3: 2 dec
Chain 1 and sc around the entire piece.
Sew or glue the beak between and on top of the eyes (see photo).

Feet
In yellow, make two, crochet in rounds.
Each foot is made up of three little toes joined together.
Toes (3 per foot):

Put the 3 toes together like this:

Round 5: 3 sc in the first toe, 3 sc in the second toe, 6 sc in the third toe, 3 dc in the second toe, 3 sc in the first
toe (18)
Round 8: Repeat (1 sp, 1 dec) (12)
Round 11: 6 dec (6)
Don't stuff the toes or feet, sew to close.

Sew or stick the feet under the body (see photo). This will also give more stability to the owl.

Ears And Feathers

The ears are made in fuchsia pink by making little tassels on top op the head.
The easiest way to do this is by cutting some yarn stings and looping them in under a stitch on the head. You
can then finish the tassels by knotting a smaller piece of yarn around it.
Embroider the little feathers on the belly in fuchsia pink.
Sew a pink fuchsia wood flower next to the owl's left ear.
And finally add a wooden button with the word "handmade" on the back.
Congratulations! You've finished your cute amigurumi owl!

Decoration Alternatives
If you don't have a button to decorate your owl with, consider using other cute little ornaments. I have included
two patterns for this purpose: a little crochet butterfly and a crochet bow. This way your owl will be the sweetest
one out there!

BONUS PATTERN: Little Butterfly!
Chain 8, close the loop with a slipstitch.
Chain 3, 2 dc, repeat (ch 3, 3 dc)*7.
Chain 3, slst in first set of chain 3, slst in second sc.
In the first and second "holes": 1 sc, 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.
In the third "hole" crochet 1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, ch 3. Slst in first of the ch 3. Continue with 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.
In the fourth "hole": repeat third hole.
In fifth and sixth hole crochet 1 sc, 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 hdc, 1sc.
In seventh and eigth hole: repeat third hole.
You'll end up with a "flower" with two different kinds of petals (round and "pointy").
Fold this flower over, you can do this in different ways.
In a contrasting color chain 11, fasten off. Tie this piece around the folded flower to create the body of the
butterfly and cut off leaving some ends as the antennae (see photo!).

BONUS PATTERN: Little Heart Bow!

This pattern is worked in two loops. The stitches that are not worked in those loops are worked into the middle
space. This is the part between the hearts.
Round 1: Chain 9. Slst in the 8th chain from the hook and slip stitch into the 1 remaining chain. Chain 8. Slst into
8th chain from the hook. Slip stitch into the middle of the two loops.
Round 2: Slst into the first loop. Into this loop crochet: 4 sc, 2 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 slst, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 hdc, 4 sc, 1
slst. Slst into the middle of the two loops again. Slip stitch into the second loop. Repeat the stitches you made
into the first loop. Slst into the slip stitch from the previous round in the middle space.
Round 3: Slst into the first slip stitch you made in the previous round. Crochet 1 sc into the next 4 stitches, 2 hdc
into the next 2 stitches, 2 dc into next stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch, slip stitch into the loop.
Continue with 1 hdc, 2 dc in next stitch, 2 hdc in next 2 stitches, 1 sc in next 4 stitches, slst into slst of previous
round. Slst into middle space. Repeat round 3 for the other loop (this will form the other heart). End with slst into
the middle space.
Round 4: 1 slst in next 2 stitches, 1 sc into next 6 stitches, 2 hdc into next 3 stitches, 1 sc in next stitch, 1 slst on
each side of slip stitch from previous round.
Continue with 1 sc, 2 hdc in next 3 stitches, 1 sc in next 6 stitches, slst in next 2 stitches. Repeat round 4 for the
other half.
Finish off, but leave a long tail to wrap around the center.
Fold your bow in half length wise and wrap your long tail around the center.
