Lesson 2. The Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers Relationship with the

Read Article II, VIII & IX, or the Code of Ethics (insert Code of Ethics)

Then answer the questions in the ANALYSIS phase of this Lesson.
1. The schools are the “nurseries of the citizens of the state.” What are
nurseries for? Why schools are called “nurseries of the citizens of the
state?”
Schools are the nurseries of the society where the future citizens are
prepared for owning the responsibility to take the nation to its greater
heights. School education is therefore considered the foundation on which
the integrated personality of a child is developed from the grass root level.
Every teacher or school official shall actively help carry out the declared
policies of the state, and shall take an oath to this effect.
B. State 5 Do’s and Don’ts on how you should relate to parents for the sake of
the learners. Make sure your Do’s and Don’ts are concrete. e.g. Make sure
you have a box of facial tissue with you for parents who become emotional.
FIVE DO’S
Do start with a positive about their child or in your students.
Do share an example of a student’s reflection during the lesson wherein
they can relate to you.
Do give examples of what language they used in their home just to cope
them easily in the lesson.
Do (try) have some fun.
Do something that can make your student have a courage in different
lesson wherein they need to cooperate with you as a teacher.
FIVE DON’TS
Don’t being strict to your students because some students will lessen their
confidence once you are too strict.
Don’t arrive unprepared because the students also became inactive
Don’t compare your students to other others students.
Don’t forget that it’s a team effort.
Don’t get emotional in front of your students.

1. How do you want your teacher to be? What are your WISHES for your
teacher? Write them down in 5 sentences only. The title “MY WISHES FOR
MY TEACHER”
All of us already know how important our teachers in students’ lives. My
wish is that hopefully they will help, motivate, inspire and even guide us in
our studies.

Research on the steps a professional teacher should take if she decides to raise
his grievances against superior.
Activity 1.
Read Article IV of the Code of Ethics below. Then answer the questions in the
ANALYSIS phase of this Lesson.
A. What does each quotation mean? To which section of Article IV of the Code of
Ethics does each quote relate?
LOOKING AHEAD
Books go with teaching and learning. Books go with teachers and students
but why it is unethical for teachers to supply books in school.
It is NOT unethical unless the teacher violates district or building policy or
makes a profit on the books. Making profit distributing books to captivate
audience would be a major violation of ethics.
