Interview/Survey Questions

Interview preparation
 Use a normal tone of voice when extending a welcome. Do not raise your voice unless
asked.
 If a candidate shares their disability upon meeting, ask them what adjustments they may
need for the interview.
 Give a thank you appreciation for their time and introduce yourselves.
 Provide them the reason of the interview and its purpose.
 Speak in a straightforward manner and check understanding.
 Be patient and wait for the person to finish what they are saying.
 Don’t pretend to understand the person if you don’t. Ask them to repeat what they have
just said or to say it in another way (using different words, for instance).
 Allow the interviewee to introduce themselves.
 Explain the interview process.

1. “Can you tell us your current experience in your job?”

2. “Can you share the challenges that you encountered?”

3. “Have you ever had a conflict with a boss or a co-worker? If yes, how was it resolved?”

4. “What major challenges and problems did you face? And how did you handle them?”
5. “Is there anything you dislike about your job?”

6. “What types of people do you find it difficult to get along with?”

7. “What is your expectation before you enter your current job?” (The company, people,
difficulty etc.)

8. “Did you expect that your disability will affect your work?”

9. “Do you need any special work arrangements so you can do your job?

10. “Will you need any changes to be made here in the workplace?”

11. “Have you got ideas about good ways to do your job?”

12. “Do you have ideas for making your workplace safe?”

13. “Are you satisfied with the employment opportunities given to individuals like you?”

14. “Are you familiar with the REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7277 or Magna Carta for Disabled
Persons?” *Provide short background to interviewee*

15. “Do you think laws like these are enough to support the Filipino people like you?”

16. “Do you think the Philippine government are doing enough to ensure equal job
opportunities for everyone?”

17. “Do you think the employment opportunities are equally given to everyone? As well as
for PWD’s?”

18. “What are your insights of PWDs current employment opportunity based on your
experience?”

19. “What do you think are the hindrance that makes it difficult for PWDs to find or apply
for a job?”

20. “What difficulties did you encounter when applying for a job?”

21. “Did you face any rejection because of your disability?”

22. “What do you think are the hindrance that makes it difficult for PWDs to cope in their
workplace?”
23. “Did you experience any discrimination in applying and working? If yes, how did you
cope with it?”

24. “What would you suggest to help the government formulate a better employment
opportunity for everyone? And for PWDs?”

25. “Based on your experienced what are the major changes you can offer to our law makers
to make better employment opportunities for everyone with regard to PWDs?”
