MODALITY WORKLIST SETUP

1. The floppy disk DMW/DMW_PS V3 is required to use the MWM interface on


the Canon CXDI system.
2. MWM V3.00 operates with CXDI ver 6.2 and higher
3. Install files to the PC.
4. Under SYSTEM/SETUP MENU/ADMINISTRATOR/MODULE SETTING:

5. If Multi-Accession is NOT used:


a. CXDI HIS “CXDIHIS” .dll- “Enabled”
b. CCR HIS #0 “chMWM” .dll- “Use”
c. CCR HIS #1 “chgmac_ws” .dll- “Not Used”
6. If Multi-Accession IS used:
a. CXDI HIS “CXDIHIS” .dll- “Enabled”
b. CCR HIS #0 “chMWM” .dll- “Not Used”
c. CCR HIS #1 “chgmac_ws” .dll- “Used”

7. Start up DmwCnf2.exe.
8. The CXDI DMW_PS Setup Ver 3 window opens: Enter the AE Title (default is
CANON_CCR, but may be changed at site request) and Modality (usually set to
CR). Hit NEXT>

9. Next window: select Non-Mobile or Mobile.

a. Non-Mobile should be selected for stationary rooms. If this is selected,


other selections are grayed out.
b. Mobile should be selected for portable units using wired or wireless
connections. On-Line and Off-Line buttons will be displayed.
1. Maintain the worklist- completed studies will NOT be deleted
from the worklist (on local disk)
2. Delete automatically- completed studies WILL be deleted from
the worklist (on local disk)
3. Mark Free2- an asterisk will be recorded to show that the study
has been completed, will NOT delete from the worklist. The
same study can be repeated multiple times.

11. TYPE- Type 0- Users select exam from the exam list. Type 1-Users enter the key
that specifies the exam. Default is Type 0.
12. FIND_MODE- If users choose to have a search/find mode enabled:
a. Choose Not Used if no find mode is used
b. Users can search by patient ID, Accession Number, or Patient Name, but
can only search by one parameter.
c. If ‘Add Asterisk’ is selected, an asterisk will automatically be entered as a
wildcard, the user will not have to enter it manually.
13. PROC_MODE- Manual is default, if Program is selected a procedure ID of each
body part button will have to be set up.
14. ADD_TAG_V2- Before using new tags added with V3, check the box.
Applicable for upgrades.
15. MULTI_ACCESSION- To use the ‘multi-accession’ function, check this box and
the Multi-Accession screen will be displayed.
16. USE MPPS- If MPPS option was purchased, check this box. If ‘Mobile’ is
checked on MOBILE_MODE, this cannot be selected.

18. SETTING THE FIND MODE FOR MULTI ACCESSION: MODALITY- This is
the modality value that is transmitted to RIS. Usually set to CR.
19. AE_TITLE- This is ONLY entered if you are looking for exams ordered for a
specific location/room, otherwise leave blank.
20. STATION_NAME- This is usually left blank to find exams for all stations.
21. LOCATION- This is usually left blank.
22. PERFORM_PHYSICIAN- Thisis usually left blank.
23. TIME_RANGE_HOUR- can be set to extend query criteria. Some will accept –3
for example, but Fuji will only accept whole numbers. So entering a 3 would be
three hours before midnight(previous day) and 3 hours after midnight(next day)
24. DATE_FROM, DATE_TO- can be set for longer query range. These can only be
set if the TIME_RANGE_HOUR is set to 0.

26. SETTINGS FOR MULTI-ACCESSION- ACCESSION_PRINT_FILM- If this
box is checked, the accession numbers will be printed as annotation.
27. ACC_DISP_POINT- To display the accession number in the patient information
column on the OPU. –1 displays nothing, 0 displays in upper left, 1 displays in
upper right, 2 displays in bottom left, and 3 displays in bottom right.
28. REQ_SERVICE_TAG (IN)- can set to display exam name after exam selected.
29. REQ_SERVICE_TAG (OUT)- to send specific tags in the dicom header.
30. REQ_SERVICE_PRINT_FILM- the tag info (exam name) from
SERVICE_TAG_IN can be printed as annotation.
31. REQ_SERVICE_DISP_POINT- the tag info (exam name) can be displayed on
the patient information column on the OPU. Same numerical settings as above.
32. Click ‘NEXT’

33. MWL SCP_AE_TITLE, IP_ADDR, AND PORT- enter information for RIS
and/or broker
34. Click ‘NEXT’ and then SAVE. MWM.ini files will be updated.
