Science 8 Performance Task

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Castillejos, Zambales in the Philippines, killing 18 people and injuring 282. Over 1,230 houses in Bampanga and Zambales were damaged. More than 900 families were displaced and took shelter in evacuation centers in Pampanga and Zambales. Pampanga was strongly affected even though it was not near the epicenter due to active faults in the area. Zambales likely has active faults since it was the epicenter of the earthquake.
