NARRATIVE REPORT ON SBM

Work for the SBM in Kapitan Moy Elementary School started early last May, 2016 during
the Brigada Eskwela. The teachers started cleaning, organizing, sorting out things and disposing
them if they can’t be used anymore, in preparation for the opening of classes on June, 2016.

Last June 2016, orientation of school heads, teachers, stakeholders and parents started
for information dissemination about SBM, Organization of the following also began,
HPTA/GPTA, SPG, Teachers Club and SGC, Retrieval of documents became very extensive for
everybody involved.

July 2016, became very hectic with the planning and working out of different
programs/projects for the Focused Discussion (FGD) with SCG had the following activities like
Revisiting of SGC Manual, Formulation of Policies and Guidelines and Discussion of SBM
Components where Enhancement of SIP reward System and Documentation was given focus.

Implementation of SBM Activities became very consistent and religious with the
following work that needs to be done.

a. Monthly noting and collecting of Artifacts and Documents


b. Evaluation of Documents through DOD (Document Analysis Observation and
Discussion)
c. Monthly meetings of each SBM components / groups with FGD
d. Meeting of SBM Team leaders
e. Meeting about SBM Components and Mechanisms with Master Teachers and
Subject Area Coordinator

Monitoring and Assessment of SBM Continues up to the present with the following
undertakings!

a. Revisiting Assessment and Modification of School policies and Guidelines


b. SBM Performance Reporting
c. Periodic Assessment with SGC (Noting and Establishing Needs of the School,
Establishing Next Plan of Actions, Determining Interventions)
d. Feed backing activities / Quality Circle with SBM Team Leaders
e. Determining the Effectiveness of SBM Practices
f. Partners Dialogue in different components
g. Intensifying Parents learning Support System of PLSS and Community Learning
Support System
h. Identifying Best Practices in the Different SBM Components and Activities, Reward
System
i. Submission of Annual Accomplishment Report

The Benchmarking Activity was held last November 3, 2016 at the Parang Elementary
School, the purpose of which is to welcome our school and other schools to the SBM Program.

Up to this day, the SBM endeavor still holds through Lots of work, perspiration with lots
of inspiration and support from each other motivates us to work to achieve the best result we
could have, And not to mention the stakeholders who are very generous and supportive of all
the things that we have done, have been doing and will be doing in the future.

Our SBM room is now ready, still in the process of beautification but in our hearts we
know that our school is nearing its total improvement.
