PROJECT PROPOSAL
S.Y. 2020-2021
A. RATIONALE
To provide teachers, parents, and learners basic understanding of how
disasters/pandemic affect the mental health and psychosocial conditions of affected
individuals and population with a discussion on the cases of at-risk groups.
B. OBJECTIVE
To inform teachers, parents, and learners when it comes to promoting psychosocial
well-being and how to prevent mental disorders brought by disasters or pandemic.
C. CONTENT
The program consists of series of webinars with the teachers, parents, and pupils. Salient
points were discussed on how to protect or promote psychosocial well-being and prevent or
treat mental disorders among vulnerable individuals in school and in community.
D. METHODOLOGY
The preliminary of the project is a virtual orientation where parents, pupils, and
community are to be informed regarding mental disorders brought by disasters or pandemic.
Share known information with teachers, stakeholders and students, providing updated
information how to protect or promote psychosocial well-being and prevent or treat mental
disorders among vulnerable individuals in school and in community.
G. TRAINERS/LEARNING FACILITATORS
To ensure that all queries will be answered, the Division DRRM officer is invited to
act as resource persons. To provide pertinent information for the program and that all
concerned will be properly guided. DepEd Memorandum referring to the project will be
consulted and attached to the school memorandum.
H. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
The project team will meet before the orientation to prepare the necessary
information and tools for the SLAC/orientation of teachers. Another conference will be held
to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. A school memorandum will be circulated to
inform all teachers to prepare the needed documents and materials.
