Learning Guide Questions:

1. What is the role of giving Mathematical tasks to students?

 The role of it is to practice their acquired knowledge and it gives a proper development to them. It
also develops their procedural fluency.

2. What are the kinds of tasks in Mathematics that you enjoy working?

 I enjoy task that focus on giving problem solving because it is very challenging.

3. To your future students, how do you see yourself constructing Mathematical tasks that will make their
learning meaningful?

 I think working in giving task to the students will make more considerable. I will give them a task
that can finish by an average learner.

Engaging Activities

In your Mathematics classroom, you observed that almost half of your students are struggling with
integers, what Mathematical intervention or tasks do you think should be provided? How is procedural
fluency be applied in this condition?

In teaching integers, there are some ways to teach it that could develop the fluency of the
students. First, we should define what is integers to our students. I can use a graph to visualize to
them the negative and positive part of integers and also, I can give some worksheets with detailed
illustrative example of basic operation in integers like addition and subtraction.

Performance Task

Ask someone in your community who is enrolled either in elementary of secondary levels. It could be a
relative or neighbor where you can borrow for a moment their self-learning module in Mathematics. Take
a photo of the most interesting performance task/ activity in the learning module and prepare writeups by
answering the following questions.
1. Give the basic details of the self-Learning module as to:

1.1. Grade Level: Grade 10

1.2. Topic Discussed: Arithmetic Sequence

1.3. Learning Objectives.

 Demonstrate an arithmetic sequence


 Determine arithmetic means and nth term of an arithmetic sequence

2. How many learning tasks are provided in the lesson? Do you think the tasks are enough to answer the
learning objectives?

There are 3 learning tasks given. Yes, because every learning task has specific way or
procedure on how to solve or how to get the answer and there has sub task that are more complex
for student to think critically.

3. Describe the approach how the tasks in the lesson are delivered ensuring student’s mastery of the
competency.

The approach on task in the lesson is focus on procedural fluency. There are so many
illustrative examples provided in the module and every sub-topic of it is discussed precisely and
concisely.

4. Do you think the performance task is well structured and the it addresses the procedural fluency of the
students?

Yes, because in performance task you need to use the newly acquired knowledge to
answer the given task.

5. What recommendations can you give in the enhancement of the learning tasks provided in the module?

I will recommend to give more illustrative examples that shows different strategies for
students who has struggles in using a specific way or solution.
