Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Circle: A Conic Section

Today I learned what is a conic section. I also learned what is a circle and different
formulas to define the different radius and diameter of a circle. I also got to encounter the
distance and midpoint formulas and the standard from and general form of the equation of the
circle.

To be honest, I really had a hard time understanding and answering this module. I am
super frustrated while answering it because I am bad at math. This subject is new to me though
it has related topics from my grade 10 lessons but it is more complex one. I don’t understand
anything unless it is explained to me and the process is showed to me. I asked one of my
classmates to teach me what and how did it come up with those answers and luckily, I was able
to get it and able to do it. I was able to understand everything and was able to answer some of
the seat works by myself.

This module based learning and self-learning method for me in this subject is really hard
especially that this is my weakness but with the help of the people who surrounds me, I got to
understand it more. I just need to analyze everything because when I already know how to do it
I will definitely enjoy the different activities and also I just hope that that this wont be too hard
for me.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Representing Real-life Situations Using

Functions

Today I learned about functions. I learned how to identify the domain and the
range. How it works and the rules between the two. I also learned that it can be used in
real-life situations.

Honestly, I didn’t get the lesson at first and I am having a really hard time
understanding the lesson because I literally don’t do good at math related subjects.
When I tries to read it as many as I can until I fully got to understand the lesson, it
became easy for me to understand until the end. Though I have some parts in the
module that I didn’t understand, I asked a help from a friend and he explained to me the
part where I didn’t understand and I am thankful because I was able to get it.

I enjoyed and at the same time suffered answering and reading the module but at
the end, I was able to conquer it. I am glad that I am able to understand the whole
lesson because it will help me in some real-life situations.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: The Functions, Nature & Process of

Communication

Today I learned many things about communication. I learned the meaning of it, its
nature, process and its function. I didn’t know back then about communication. I thought it is
only about exchanging messages and talking to each other but it isn’t like that. It takes a
process, understanding and clear messages for a great communication to takes place.

I realized how important learning about communication is. How important having a
good conversation and also how significant communication is to us people. Because of this, we
are able to talk to each other and communicate with each other. I’m also amazed because
there are a lot of ways to communicate. We can have a verbal and non-verbal conversation and
still be able to understand each other no matter what way we use. I also realized that using
communication in a right way is very important because it will avoid you from being
misunderstood of what you really mean. It will help the receiver of your messages understand
you so well and it’ll help you to engaged it a good conversation.

Therefore, I will use the knowledge and lessons I got from this module to my great
advantages. I will use the learnings I earned for good things and I’m more than willing to share
the things I learned to others. I will also use this to be a good talker and listener for me to be
able to engaged it more solid conversation. I want to end this reflection paper of mine by
sharing a quote written by John Powell, it says that “Communication works for those who work
at it.”

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Mga Konseptong Pangwika

Ayon kay Dra. Erlinda Mangahis, ang wika ang pinakamahalagang kasangkapan ng tao sa
pakikipagtalastasan. Sang-ayon kaba sa kanya? Ako ay oo. Sang-ayon ako sa kanyang pahayag
na ito dahil ang wika ay mahalaga sa kahit na sino. Ginagamit ito sa maraming bagay at
ginagamit sa pakikipag komunikasyon.

Sa pagbabasa ng modyul na ito ay marami akong natutunan. Natutunan ko ang mga

konseptong pangwika ng ating bansa at ang kahalagahan ng mga ito. Nalaman ko din ang
kasasaysayan ng Wikang Filipino kung saan nagsimula ito bilang Tagalog, napalitan ng Pilipino,
at nabago bilang Filipino na siyang Wikang Pambansa sa kasalukuyan. Nalaman ko din ang mga
proseso at mga pagbabago na nangyari sa wikang ito sa bawat pagdaan ng panahaon.
Natutunan ko din kung ano ang mga batas kung saan nakapaloob ang ibat ibang kaalaman
tungkol sa ating wika. Tunay ngang nakakahanga ang wika at ako ay natutuwa dahil nalaman ko
ang mga bagay bagay na ito.

Ipagmalaki natin ang wika sapagkat tunay na napakahusay at napakaganda nito. Isang
simbolo nating mga Pilipino ang Wikang Filipino na kahit kalian ay hinding hindi maiaalis sa
ating ng kahit na sino. Isang wikang nagdudulot ng pagkakaisa at pagmamahalan. Wika nga
talaga’y tunay na makapangyarihan.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Software Applications and Platforms

Nowadays we are surrounded by many and different software applications and

platforms. They are too many to count and too many to identify that we know only a bit of it
and we don’t even know what is really to use and functions of every platform that we use. In
this first module given to me, I learned many software applications and platforms and its uses.

When I wan analyzing the lesson for this module, I was astonished of what I found out
about the apps and platforms I am fond of using because I didn’t know that those things have
much bigger uses that I thought. There are many things to do using those that may help oneself
to achieve great things. I am also dumbfounded by the fact that every social media and social
network that I use serves as a platform for various usage. I also learned about the difference
between social media and social network which I don’t know that it isn’t the same thing before
I encountered this lesson.

This module really helped me a lot and I’m 100% sure that it also helped others. This
tackles about different types of online platforms and how to use it and it’s a big help to know
what platform to use and where to share things u want to share because nowadays people are
fond of visiting different sites. This will help people to determine what site is for their selves
and what isn’t. This is also helpful because u can use the sites with its right usage and functions.
The most important thing though to remember that always use the software apps and social
platforms for sharing and spreading good and positive things.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Physical Fitness Assessment

Health is significant to each and everyone. Health is the one who is keeping us alive and
it allows us to do the things we want to do. We need to make sure that our health is always our
first priority before anything else. We should keep our body healthy by having healthy lifestyle
and doing some activities that will help us to maintain our good health.

How can we determine that we are still healthy and how can we determine if we need
to do something to know if we are really healthy or if we need to be health? The lesson 1
teaches us how to know one’s health. It is by doing self-assessments and physical fitness
assessments. These assessments help people determine and measure their personal fitness
level. Its also designed to give individualize feedback regarding one’s overall fitness status. By
doing these you’ll be able to know how is your health status going. This lesson is a huge help
especially to those people who are health conscious and this will also serve as a guide for those
people who wants to be physically fit but don’t know how and where to start.

All I can say is we should take care of our bodies. There are so many things to make our
life and body healthy. We just need to research and study about it. We need to be educated of
how important it is to be healthy because I truly believe that health is wealth.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Knowing and Understanding Oneself

Today as I open and study my Personal Development module, I learned many things.
Things that can help me be a better version of myself. Today I got educated on how to know
and understand oneself. I discovered its use and how important it is to oneself. As I go further
into the lesson, I realized many things and gathered some knowledge.

I realized that knowing and understanding myself is a huge matter that can contribute to
my growth. Why? Because when I know myself and understand myself, I’ll be able to identify
the things that I can do and the things that I can’t. I will discover my capabilities and my
limitations. It is also a good indicator in your life when u accept yourself for who you are and
what you are. Acceptance is a solid and unbreakable path through self-development and better
relationship with others, and why is that? Because when you accept yourself for who you are,
you’re most likely to avoid insecurities that may ruin yourself, not only yourself but also your
relationship with others.

This module also gave me an information about the skills and character traits that may
help a person achieve their goals in life and it’s a benefit for us students because we’re be able
to know how to use those skills that we possess to our advantages.

These are the important lessons I learned today. The lessons that that enlightened me
and gave me so much realizations in life. If you want to have a self-development and you want
to have to achieve a better version of yourself, just remember three things. It is to KNOW,
UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT yourself.

Dimensions of Philippine Literary History from Pre-Colonial to the
Contemporary

Before I started reading the module, I honestly don’t know anything about the history of
the Philippine literature since as far as I can remember we didn’t discuss anything about it in
our Junior High School years. I don’t know the process and development it went through
through the years. I didn’t know the changes happened from time to time.

When I finished reading and answering the module. I learned many things. I learned
how our literature changes from period to period and how the characteristics of it evolves from
period to period. I am also amazed by the fact that our literatures nowadays are derived and
compiled from different influences of the countries who colonized us. I love how they are used
as an instrument to enhance our literatures.

As I go further the lessons, I also got educated of what happened in the different periods
of colonization and what happened and how the literatures theme changes on the different
periods it went through. I am also glad that I gathered many knowledges from this module.

Studying the history of Literature, not only literature but the history of many matters is
useful and important. It allows us to know what happened way back then and it allows us to
know and understand the process and development that had undergone to it to become what
is it today. History matters because we won’t see the things we see today if it isn’t because of
its history.

Reflection Paper for Lesson 1: Earth: A Unique Planet

We all know what Earth is. It is the only planet in the whole universe who has living
things on it. Earth is the most unique planet that is existing and it is composed of many things.
It is also blessed and beautiful.

Before reading this module, I already know many things about planet Earth. It was
discussed to us in the past years, but when I started reading this module, I didn’t know that
there are still these things I don’t know about the Earth. It is all about how unique it is and the
things thar makes it a unique one.

Earth is the third planet from the sun and the only planet that is inhibited. As early as its
name, we can already tell that it is unique because it is the only planet that isn’t named from
Greek and Roman Gods. It is also unique for its features namely the distance of the earth from
the sun, it uses sun as the major source of energy, surrounded by a blanket of gases, favorable
climate condition, water, force of attraction or the Earth’s gravitational pull, its several layers
and has three faces of matter. This features also helps the different lives and creatures living on
the planet.

It is an undeniable fact that the planet where we are living is amazing and almost a
perfection. We are blessed to see even only a little glimpse of what this world is. We should
protect and preserve this world because if we don’t protect and if we abuse this paradise given
to us, it will also ruin us. As I believe that Earth can live without us but we can’t live without the
unique planet Earth.

Psychosocial Sheet

Due to this Covid – 19 pandemic that the whole world is experiencing, many
things have been changed and many things and plans have been ruined. The situation
got out of control that resulted to worldwide lockdowns and strict quarantine protocols.
Other things got adjusted and causes a lot of trouble to the people. One of these is the
classes schedule. Because of this pandemic, the classes got cancelled and the reopening
of classes got adjusted. The higher authorities also decided to stop the face-to-face
classes and settled into different learning modalities.

This different modality includes distance learning, blended learning, and online
learning, home schooling, radio and television-based learning. This type of situation and
this sudden change of educational learning is a huge challenge to us students and
especially to the education stuffs. There are many aspects to consider before everything
else and it is a lot of risk especially to the mental health of the students. A certain
student needs to have the courage, the braveness, and the determination to success
this new way of learning. We need to face a lot of things especially dealing with the fear,
anxieties and depressions.

As for me this is a very huge challenge especially that my residence is kind of far
away to the school that I’m into because this school is an excellent one so I choose to
study there despite of the distance. The one I also fear are the math related subjects
that I have. I am so bad at doing math to the point that I cried because I can’t
understand anything about it. I can only understand the lesson when I have someone
who can explain to me the processes on how to come up with the answers, for example
I have a teacher who can explain it to me. When it comes to self-explanatory and self-
learning in those subjects, I’m really so bad at it. I am also afraid and always
overthinking if I will be able to pass this whole school year. I am worried because what if
I do bad this year and I can’t cope up with the lessons that I have. I keep on doubting
myself because this is just too challenging for me. I am too preoccupied thinking if I will
be able to move up to grade 12. I also fear to disappoint my parents. There are also
many distractions to be considered especially the learning facility and the surroundings
of mine. The internet connection and the gadgets are needed one especially when you
engage to online classes but the other different modalities also need it for research
purposes.

This whole situation is pretty exhausting and a slightly problematic one but
despite of the different barriers and possibilities that may happen that may happen
along the way. Despite of the fears and worries I have; I am willing to risk and learn.
That is why I enrolled this year and also because the almost 1 year is kind of waste if I
decided np to enroll this year. This will also serve as a challenge for me to myself to pass
this school year because this will also serve as a huge help to my personality. This
situation is a big challenge that everyone will be taking and will be a big help to change
their selves into a stronger and determined one. I also believes in myself despite of the
doubts that I have and I also believe that there is no challenge that’ll be given to you if
He knows that you can’t conquer it. We just need to trust the process and trust
ourselves. This fears and anxieties will always be a part of the process and I am more
than willing to do my best to overcome those and do my best in this school year. Let’s
heal as one and learn as one!

Situation: The budget for notebooks in every subject.

Problem: Klare has ₱500 budget for the notebook of every subject. State
the total notebook budget (B) as a function of number of the subjects (n).

Unique Earth

Earth is the unique planet in the solar system,

TASK 1:
As a grade 11 Filipino learner, in what way you can show a sense of
adaptability to the diverse Philippine Literary History? State your answer in a 3-5
paragraph essay.

Living in 21st Century really is a big challenge. Many things changed, many
things adjusted and many things have evolved into something new and useful.
These changes either helped or worsened some of the situations but in my
perspective some changes and development in Philippine Literary History has a
good impact not only for the writers but also for the readers and the learners as
well.

As a grade 11 Filipino learner I can show a sense of adaptability to the

diverse Philippine Literary History by learning and understanding the history of it
and how it evolves from different timeline. Understand every bit of it and see how
it enhances and develops as the century passes by. Another one that can help me
is to read some of the literatures according to the different literary periods so I
can fully comprehend what was the changes that has taken place. I can also adopt
to it by making researches that can help me embrace the new and diverse
Philippine Literatures.

Learning the history of literature is fun especially those who loves read
literary pieces. It will allow the readers to fully understand what are you reading
and you’ll be also amazed on how it all started and the process that took place on
the literature before it went to the ones that you’re reading.

Sapagkat ito ay sumisimbolo bilang ating salamin.
