What’s Is It ?

An Operating System (OS) is an interface between a computer user and

computer hardware. An operating system is a software which performs all
the basic tasks like file management, memory management, process
management, handling input and output, and controlling peripheral devices
such as disk drives and printers.
Operating system is a system software commonly simplified as “OS”.
An operating is the most important software that runs on a computer. It
manages the computers memory, processes, and all its software and
hardware. It also allows you to communicate with the computer without
knowing how to speak the computers “language”. Without an operating
system, a computer is useless.
Windows 7 is an operating system that was produced by Microsoft and
released as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It
was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009, and became generally
available on October 22, 2009.[9] It is the successor to Windows Vista,
released nearly three years earlier, and it was Microsoft's operating system
for use on personal computers, including home and
business desktops, laptops, tablet PCs and media center PCs until it was
succeeded by Windows 8 on October 26, 2012.
