The Philippines has two major seasons: A. Wet Season(Rainy) B. Dry


Season(Sunny)

Season-according to the National Geographic Organization, season is a


period of the year that is distinguished by special climate conditions.

Wet Season

Wet season is characterized by rainy season with thunderstorm and occurs


generally from June to November. It is influenced by the southwest
monsoon (locally known as Habagat) a seasonal wind that brings heavy
rains to the country.

Activities such as reading books,writing,playing instruments or indoor


games and outdoor activities like wave surfing and swimming in hot
springs can be enjoyed by Filipinos.

Dry Season

Dry season is characterized by hot and cloudless days,The sun always


shines during this season,from December to February, and (b) the hot dry
season, from March to May.This season is influenced by the seasonal
wind known as northeast monsoon (locally called as Amihan) which
blows down cool and dry air to the country.

Some of the recreational activities that can be done are swimming,water


sports,diving,hiking,caving and mountain climbing.

DS WT 3. Sellers of souvenir items near resorts and beaches earn more.
DS WT 4. People may experience health problems like skin diseases,
sunburn, and sore eyes.
DS WT 5. Some infrastructures and livelihood of people can be damaged
by strong winds and heavy rains.
